Purpose:
As the Sr. Manager Supply Chain Procurement, this role will lead a team of sourcing professionals responsible for building and scaling a best-in-class sourcing organization to support the commercialization of Ottava and Digital Solutions. This leader will be accountable for establishing the sourcing operating model, standard work, and category strategies required for commercialization. The role will drive a resilient and optimized supply base, ensuring alignment to cost, quality, delivery, and innovation objectives. A critical focus will be enabling sustainable financial performance, including a robust CIP pipeline, PPV & market movement inflation management, while ensuring supply continuity and scalability to meet future demand. This role will lead, create, champion, and ensure endorsement of key supplier initiatives and projects (along with full allocation of resources) to meet or exceed time, cost, and quality goals. This role offers an opportunity to make an impact to a fast-growing organization in one of J&Js key growth areas of Surgical Robotics & Digital Solutions. The Sr. Manager Supply Chain Procurement will have a unique opportunity to make an immediate business impact & ensure the organization can achieve long term business goals. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing for Robotics and Digital Solutions.
Key Role Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Capability Building Lead, coach, and develop a team of sourcing professionals to deliver on commercial objectives
Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations aligned to business priorities
Build organizational capability across Strategic Sourcing, negotiations, supplier management, category strategies, and financial acumen
Sourcing Strategy & Supplier Management Operating Model Define and implement the sourcing operating model and standard work
Develop and deploy category strategies in alignment with enterprise/category teams
Establish scalable processes for supplier selection, contracting, and performance management
Understand, illustrate, and mitigate supply continuity risks and threats, to ensure supply continuity
Develop a deep understanding of the Ottava & Digital Solutions robotics commercial strategy and trends to support the development of the correct operational strategies in support of customer needs
Manage and balance process and procedure changes in highly matrixed organization
Builds supplier & internal partnerships to ensure products launch on time, and suppliers can ramp to future demand levels
Support initiatives on Procurement Citizenship including diversity and inclusion
Financial Ownership & Performance
Drive NPI and commercial Sourcing efforts to support COGS (Cost Of Goods Sold) improvement & create a GP (Gross Profit) improvement roadmap
Own and deliver financial commitments including CIPs, PPV/inflation/market movement management
Develop and manage savings pipelines and track actuals vs. commitments
Partner with Finance to ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and risk mitigation
Lead RFP/I/Qs Request For Proposals/Information/Quotes and Supply agreement contracts and/or provide guidance to team
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred Engineering degree-mechanical, electrical, etc.)
SAP or similar project Software toolkit experience
Track record of successfully completing complex projects (within time, cost, & quality parameters) is required
Experience implementing digital, automated solutions to optimize business results thru digital transformation internally or at suppliers
10 years or more of Strategic Sourcing or relevant experience in a high urgency/critical stakes environment is required
Demonstrated Supplier cost negotiations & contracting experience with favorable financial results in complex negotiations $M-savings +
Proven successful use of leadership, interpersonal communication/presentation skills to favorably influence the direction of the business.
Adaptability to meet & respond to rapidly changing priorities in a high ambiguity environment
Use effective change management strategies to guide teams through transformations
Preferred Skills
Preferred Master’s Degree (MS, MBA, finance, executive, engineering, SC, IS, etc.)
Multi-country experience preferred
Previous experience in highly matrixed large organization & start-up environment is desired
Professional (APICS-CPIM or CSCP and/or PMP or CAPM ISM, Lean, Six Sigma) Certification is desirable
Experience in Medical Devices industry, Knowledge of regulated environment in compliance to ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 preferred
May require up to 20% travel
Other:
May require up to 15% of domestic and/or international travel
The attendance policy required for this role is JNJ Flex Hybrid. Three days in Office, 2 days remote.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$142,000.00 to $215,449.50
