About the role

We are seeking a Medical Affairs Strategy & Performance Lead to drive strategy, performance, operational excellence and transformational initiatives across Medical Affairs in Australia.

This is a highly visible leadership role within the Medical Leadership Team, partnering with senior leaders across the business to enhance external engagement, improve business performance and deliver measurable value.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, data analytics, omnichannel engagement and organisational effectiveness, making it an exceptional opportunity for someone who enjoys influencing change, solving complex business challenges and improving the way organisations work.

Your role will be varied and will include:

Leading the development and execution framework for the Medical Affairs strategic and tactical plan in partnership with the Australian Medical Directorate Leadership Team.

Driving Medical performance through the development of key metrics, performance frameworks, reporting and actionable business insights.

Shaping and supporting omnichannel and digital engagement strategies to improve how Medical Affairs engages with external experts and stakeholders.

Leading Medical business planning activities, including objective setting, portfolio planning, departmental reviews, resource planning and budget coordination.

Leading transformational initiatives that improve capability, performance and operational effectiveness across Medical Affairs.

Building Medical capability in a fast innovative environment, requiring prioritization, focus and excellence in execution.

About you

We are looking for a strategic professional, who is highly collaborative with a performance and mindset of capability building. They can influence without authority, connect people and ideas, and turn strategy into measurable outcomes.

You may come from Medical Affairs, Commercial Excellence, Business Excellence, Strategy & Operations, Digital Transformation or a similar function where you have successfully driven business performance and organisational change.

An understanding of the Medical Function will be an advantage.

You will bring:

Experience leading strategic planning, business performance or operational excellence initiatives.

Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights and recommendations.

Experience driving change, transformation or capability-building programs.

Proven project management experience, including delivering initiatives across multiple stakeholders and functions.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present recommendations to senior leaders.

A degree qualification, with postgraduate qualifications in science, healthcare, business, project management or a related field highly regarded.
