Your Role:
As the Director of Global Strategic Projects, you are responsible for the identification, scoping, and delivery of strategic projects across the >10b USD Life Science sector. Reporting to the Head of Global Strategy and Market Intelligence, you will independently seek out and develop opportunities to drive strategic projects, leading a wide range of stakeholders towards a common goal. This is an on-site position at our Burlington, MA office with domestic and international travel required to meet business needs.
More specifically, this role involves:
Identifying, scoping, initiating, and leading strategic efforts supporting MilliporeSigma’s global strategy.
Supporting and improving execution of strategic efforts in the broader organization, proactively identifying interdependencies and opportunities for improvement.
Preparing strategic decisions for MilliporeSigma’s executive leadership.
Shaping strategic priorities through an in-depth understanding of the organization, its customers, and competitors.
Leading cross-functional teams in project delivery, including delivery of multiple efforts simultaneously.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, natural sciences, or related science discipline. With 8+ years’ experience developing and delivering strategic projects at the top level of complex organizations, e.g., in management consulting and corporate strategy roles, with a focus on the life science, biopharma, and/or biotech space or similar industry
OR
Master’s degree in business, natural sciences, or related science discipline. With 6+ years’ experience developing and delivering strategic projects at the top level of complex organizations, e.g., in management consulting and corporate strategy roles, with a focus on the life science, biopharma, and/or biotech space or similar industry
OR
PhD in business, natural sciences, or related science discipline. With 5+ years’ experience developing and delivering strategic projects at the top level of complex organizations, e.g., in management consulting and corporate strategy roles, with a focus on the life science, biopharma, and/or biotech space or similar industry
Proven track record of project leadership tackling strategic, high-criticality challenges.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (Anticipated
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience mobilizing and leading cross-functional teams with wide ranges of skillsets and backgrounds.
Ability to build trust-based relationships across a wide range of stakeholders and to drive diverse interests towards alignment.
Ability to rapidly ramp up into new content and context.
Experience developing effective documents and presentations on complex strategic topics at pace.
Ability to prioritize across competing demands for attention and capacity.
Understanding of the life science ecosystem, biopharma value chain, and market dynamics.
Experience in the life science tools and bioprocessing space.
Postgraduate degree in business and/or natural sciences.
Project management certifications, especially in agile project delivery.
Pay Range for this position: $165,100- $247,700
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
