Your Role:
EMD Electronics is looking to immediately hire experienced Welders to support an existing project within the US. Welders will be responsible for operating a TIG Lathe and Orbital welder assembling job orders in a manufacturing environment. This position would be scheduled Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm with potential overtime, and must be able to support a travel schedule that aligns with this project.
MEGASYS® offers specialized services in managing gases, chemicals and slurries, where our technicians and engineers provide critical on-site support in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other sites, participate in off-site meetings, and engage in occasional travel for training and strategic initiatives. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the success of our operations and enhancing customer relationships.
Perform orbital GTAW tube welding, assembly, and installation of mechanical components onto sheet metal plates and inside of sheet metal frames and enclosures on equipment
Check raw materials and quantities against a bill of materials and arrange them according to a design drawing
Perform inspection and general tool maintenance
Apply welding symbols and maintain proper sequence of assembly and accuracy of fit-up
Use computer interface for reading/understanding P&ID and mechanical diagrams and drawings
Work with supervision to adjust weld parameters to meet required weld quality
Maintain all required certifications under applicable codes
Physical Attributes:
Work in Clean/Weld room using heat resistant welding gloves and welding face shield
Sit for up to 6 hours
Maintain hand dexterity and stability for weld quality
Lift up to 50 lbs. 5 times per day and transfer this weight to a cart either at the same level or down at knee height
Push or pull carts on wheels (up to 200 lbs)
Stand and kneel on ergonomic mats over concrete
Use full range of motion with arms and legs
Use hand, power tools, taps, wrenches, sockets, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures and simple measuring instruments
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years of hands-on TIG Lathe or Orbital welding experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Self-starting and motivated with good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment while following safety and process controls
Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and engineering mechanical drawings

Pay Range for this position: $21-$33/hour
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
