MAIN FOCUS AND MISSION:

As the Head of Sales for the Therapeutic Area, I will understand the market challenges in each region nationwide, collaborate with the marketing department to make strategies, develop and execute tactics as part of the sales strategy, monitor progress, elicit appropriate revision strategic tactics plan from my subordinates (RMs), and contribute to the development of regional healthcare by achieving sales targets for my assigned products and maximizing market share expansion while adhering to fair competition regulations and within the scope of company policy.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Planning and promoting sales strategies for each therapeutic area

• Building specialized strategies: Analyze the market characteristics and competitive environment of the specific disease you are responsible for therapeutic area and formulate the optimal sales strategy.

• Resource optimization: Prioritize target facilities and physicians nationwide or by area and effectively allocate sales resources such as medical representatives (MRs).

2. Collaboration with Marketing and Medical Departments

• Cross-functional activities: We collaborate with Product Marketing (PM), which is responsible for brand strategy, and Medical Affairs, which supports medical and  scientific information, to maximize overall product value.

• Building relationships with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders): As top executives, we approach physicians who are opinion leaders in their respective field, leading the way in building relationships and exchanging opinions on important clinical information.

3. Team Management and Talent Development

• KPI and Budget Management: Manage progress and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for each sales manager and team to achieve sales targets in their respective areas.

• Developing Highly Specialized Talent: Since MRs in the therapeutic area require extremely advanced medical knowledge and in-depth information provision skills,we raise the overall level of expertise within the organization through the development of training plans and coaching.

4. Compliance with Standards

• Thorough Adherence to Industry Standards: In pharmaceutical sales activities, we will thoroughly adhere to the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA) codes and compliance standards, and instil fair and transparent promotional activities within the sales department.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Preferably, graduate of any life-science course (bachelor’s degree)

• Although a graduate of a humanities faculty, possess knowledge of medicine and pharmacy.

Hard skills/ Expertise:

• More than 5years experience as regional sales manager to manage over 10 MRs, in hematology field or oncology field and achieving high performance in that position.

• Previous SFE or training team experience is an added advantage

• Ability to develop subordinates: Has experience in developing non-managers into management positions.

• It is necessary to logically analyze the situation in the area, make a strategic plan, and guide the subordinates. It is important to provide evidence and explain

• Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Veeva)

• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple projects

• Skill to use excel and power point.

Soft skills:

• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

• Cross functional communication skills

• Superior oral and written communications skills, ability to present complex issues in a simple manner.

• Favorable business level English
