Roles & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for recognizing potential hazards during critical maintenance activities and coordinating safety requirements through work permits, LOTO procedures, and JSA reviews to ensure full compliance with SH&E norms.
You will be responsible for planning and monitoring predictive, preventive, and shutdown maintenance activities, maintaining good housekeeping in utility areas, and ensuring availability of critical spares while minimizing consumption.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing breakdown maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment, including transformers, generators, sub-stations, and control systems, with quick turnaround and minimal downtime.
You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining automation systems such as HMI and PLC, performing frequent backups, and identifying new areas for automation to improve system reliability.
You will be responsible for executing equipment qualification and validation activities, preparing documentation as per ISO, cGMP, and statutory requirements, and updating master maintenance schedules in SAP.
You will be responsible for performing CAPA using RCA, Why-Why analysis, and incident investigation techniques for critical breakdowns and equipment failures, while ensuring MTTR and MTBF benchmarks are met.
You will be responsible for training and assessing team members on basic maintenance procedures, tool usage, and installation practices to build technical competency and ensure safe execution.
You will be responsible for supporting small project modifications, coordinating with plant leads, initiating purchase requisitions, inspecting received spares, and contributing to cost estimation and budget forecasting for departmental activities.

Educational Qualification
Diploma / Graduation in Mechanical Engineering or related field is mandatory.
Minimum Work Experience
3+ / 6+ years of experience.

Continuous Improvement Orientation – Proactively identifies inefficiencies, leads CAPA investigations, and contributes to lean initiatives like 5S and Kaizen to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
Critical Exposures
Exposure to maintaining and troubleshooting equipment such as mixers, dryers, reactors, and HVAC systems, including addressing equipment failures, is preferred. Experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Devices, Life Sciences, FMCG industries is preferred.
Experience in equipment qualification, validation activities, and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for system failures is desired.
Exposure to HVAC, compressed air, water systems, and utility optimization in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments is preferred.
Experience with preventive maintenance activities, including documenting corrective actions, is desired.
Exposure to mechanical system servicing, including alignment, lubrication, and calibration of pumps, motors, and valves to ensure optimal performance.
