About the Job

As Senior Demand Lead within our Supply Chain team, you'll be the focal point of franchise management at market level, making sure the right medicines are in the right place at the right time. Ready to get started?

You'll lead the market-level Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, bringing colleagues from commercial, finance, regulatory, quality, and production planning together around one business plan built on shared data, assumptions, and scenarios. Your goal is simple but impactful: support our sales and growth ambitions by maximizing product availability for patients while minimizing product expiry and waste.

Your role covers a wide range of planning activities in the market, including product launches, regulatory changes, and commercial topics. You'll make sure these are properly coordinated locally and accurately reflected in our planning tools. Working closely with Demand Leads and Demand Planners, you'll help create a lean and effective planning cycle and drive continuous improvement in how we plan, forecast, and deliver.

About Sanofi: We're an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people's lives and delivering compelling growth. Our deep understanding of the immune system – and innovative pipeline – enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people's lives.

Main Responsibilities:

Lead the monthly IBP process

Lead and align stakeholders through each step of the monthly IBP cycle, so that product demand is accurately forecast and forms the basis for manufacturing and supply planning, in close collaboration with Demand Planners

Product portfolio management: Oversee portfolio changes such as launches, divestments, pruning, and code or sourcing changes, and regularly review planning master data for accuracy

Demand review: Make sure assumptions, gaps, close-the-gap actions, and escalations are properly recorded at product level, including scenarios for active and inactive opportunities

Supply review: Stay aware of supply constraints affecting the market, share them with key stakeholders, and escalate issues when needed

Integrated reconciliation: Align with Finance on operational versus financial forecasts and agree on the most realistic action plan to meet business objectives

Management Business Review (MBR): Run the MBR meeting, covering risks and opportunities, prepare minutes, and follow up on actions to reduce the risk of shortages, returns, and write-offs

Deliver performance through real action

Deliver key targets together with Demand Planners and other stakeholders, including sales performance, OTIF, forecast accuracy (MAPE and FVA), inventory levels, destructions, and write-offs

Analyze IBP dashboards and performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and turn them into action

Regularly review inventory targets, lead times, and end-to-end physical flows to optimize cash flow

Lead the obsolescence, destructions, and returns discussion within IBP and agree actions with business stakeholders to reduce inventory provisions

Drive supply chain initiatives that support sales execution and continuously improve forecast accuracy

Partner and coordinate across the business

Work with Demand Leads, Demand Planners, Business Units, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, and upstream production planners to align on market needs and trends

Act as the focal point for Global Product Leaders and GBU Supply Chain, taking part in Global Product Reviews and following up on major demand and supply variations

Take accountability for new product launches, line extensions, and network changes, ensuring smooth, on-time implementation without supply interruption

Build close working relationships with Global Supply Chain IBP leads and other global and central functions to ensure effective two-way communication

Contribute to the Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) process when needed, linking short-term supply chain activity with the IBP planning horizon

Be an IBP ambassador

Take part in the IBP Community of Practice led by the Center of Excellence, promoting continuous improvement in IBP processes, systems, and tools

Ensure all processes and activities meet Sanofi compliance standards

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
