Our AstraZeneca Nordic Marketing Company employs around 550 people and has offices located in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, and Espoo. AstraZeneca Nordic is a recognized leader in its core therapy areas and aims to improve the lives of millions of people. This is an area where you are free to be more – you are encouraged to challenge traditional ways and test your curiosity. We drive innovative science, deliver key launches, build close collaboration and partnerships within health care.

Do you thrive in a creative and change-oriented environment where your contribution can improve patients' lives - and would you like to play an essential role in the development of innovative treatments for COPD?

At AstraZeneca Nordic Marketing Company, we are now seeking an engaged Strategic Account Manager for Stockholm, South East and parts of Central of Sweden, with focus on Stockholm, Norrköping, Linköping, Jönköping and Örebro. This is a field-based position.

About the Role

As Strategic Account Manager within Respiratory, you will be a key member of our national sales team, working with our latest triple therapy for COPD and coming indication. You will drive commercial development and coordinate advanced, cross-functional collaborations with the region’s most important stakeholders. You identify business opportunities, gather and translate data and customer insights into strategic account plans that create value for both the AstraZeneca brand and patients.

The role involves regular travel within the region (approximately 2–4 overnight stays per month). Preferred place of residence is Stockholm or Östergötland.

Responsibilities

You will develop and implement robust, data-driven strategies for prioritized accounts and build long-term partnerships with decision-makers, prescribers, and expert groups within both specialized and primary care. Working through OMNI-channel plans and close collaboration with both internal and external teams, you ensure patients have access to the latest treatments, and the AstraZeneca brand becomes a natural part of local healthcare processes. You lead change and collaboration projects and leverage digital tools such as Veeva for customer insight gathering, relationship building, and optimized business decisions. With a strong patient focus, you work according to scientific and health economic reasoning - always in line with our values, standards, and current regulations.

Essential Experience

Academic degree in health or life sciences (e.g. nurse, pharmacist, biomedical analyst or equivalent) or medical qualification with LIF authorization is required.

Several years of experience in sales or healthcare, preferably within pharmaceutical or Medtech industry.

Proven ability in driving business development and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Strong understanding of the Swedish healthcare system, including its structure and decision-making processes.

Skilled in using digital tools and data analytics (e.g., Veeva, remote e-detailing) to improve performance and guide strategic decisions.

Excellent ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders across healthcare.

High-level communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; solution-oriented and motivated by positive patient impact.

Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region.

Previous successful sales results and experience engaging with expert groups, specialist care and primary care in Northern Sweden are advantageous.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
