Your Role:
Entry level Shipping and Receiving role responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments in a safe and quality focused manner. Role requires the safe operation of material handling equipment such as hand trucks, fork trucks, and other related equipment. Role requires entry and verification of transactions for all materials handled.
Duties Include:
Perform basic shipping and receiving duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and EHS Specifications and GMP standards.
Place items in the warehouse by packing/unpacking and transporting using forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
Duties will also include scanning, labeling, and counting materials.
Ensure adherence to environmental management systems.
Verify accuracy of orders and complete transactions and documentation per GMP standards.
Ensure a clean and orderly workspace.
Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns. Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the work area and the site.
Participate in sustainability efforts.
Communicate and participate in shift changeovers with colleagues and lead.
Escalate issues to the next level (operations, lead, supervisor, etc.)
Works under close supervision.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
0-1 year of work experience.
High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a fast-paced warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing team environment.
Basic knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements.
Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Reliable and self-motivated.
Ability to read, follow and understand operating procedures and documentation.
Chemical handling experience.
Experience with multitasking operations.
Physical Requirements:
Exposure to machinery and equipment in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
Exposure to chemicals and other hazardous materials.
100% Standing for duration of shift, up to 12 hours.
Frequent lifting of 20 - 30 lbs. necessary/Max lifting – 40 to 50 lbs
Ability to bend and twist as needed.
Must be able to grasp, manipulate and handle objects consistently and regularly, Fine motor skills are required.
Ability to work in a clean room environment.
Must pass a DOT Physical.
Pass a visual acuity test.
