Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, this is a key role supporting the manufacturing process and equipment.

We are a team of Manufacturing and Automation Engineering professionals who embrace a collaborative environment to tackle sophisticated challenges that meet the needs of our patients. Key responsibilities for this role include:

Leading execution of continuous improvement projects and initiatives on manufacturing equipment, demonstrating a data driven approach.

Supports the manufacturing process and develops expertise on equipment and interactions with the process, being a key contributor to resolution of persistent complex technical problems using a data driven approach.

Preparing equipment performance reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends, in support of process improvement.

Demonstrable capability to manage multiple deadlines and determine work priorities, the majority of which is to be done autonomously.

Actively promotes and participates in cross functional teamwork as an influential team member.

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical/Manufacturing/ Engineering graduate with 5 yrs. experience in a high speed, highly automated drug, or medical device fill/assembly/packaging operation within a highly regulated industry.

Proficient and experienced in driving projects and continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing, with knowledge and competencies in quality, validation, and maintenance systems.

A motivated and flexible person who can formulate detailed plans with minimum supervisory influence and manage them through to completion.

Developed problem solving ability requiring good analytical skills and sound judgment to respond to potentially complicated or novel situations.

Demonstrated experience in design and execution of technical reports in support of manufacturing process improvement, deviations and problem solving.

Demonstrated strong communication and team-working skills including the ability to work effectively and influence decisions across functions, communicating effectively through verbal and written means.

A track record of developing efficient, innovative, and creative solutions to complex and challenging engineering problems, using established tools and frameworks. Lean/Six sigma certification would be advantageous.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
