Summary

The Senior Manager, U.S. DC Office and Facilities, will serve as the on-the-ground operational lead for our busy, 75-person Washington, DC office. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented Office & Facilities Manager to serve as the on-the-ground operational lead for our busy, ~75-person Washington, DC office. This role sits within the U.S. Policy & Government Affairs team and ensures the DC office runs smoothly day to day, in close partnership with the corporate, Boston-based facilities team. The DC Office and Facilities Manager will ensure kitchen and office supplies are ordered and stocked, organize conference rooms (reservations, maintenance), manage space use by visitors, secure badge access, configure multi-purpose space for events, briefings, and meetings, and understands daily needs will shift and evolve. This job is well suited to a candidate that enjoys variety, works hard with minimal supervision, takes ownership of the details, and is comfortable both coordinating with corporate teams and rolling up their sleeves (including moving furniture) to get a space ready. A strong executive presence will also be key to success in this role.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Food, Beverage, and Supplies

Order, stock, and maintain kitchen food, beverage, and pantry supplies; track inventory and manage vendor relationships

Order and maintain general office supplies, ensuring the office is consistently well-stocked

Coordinate catering for internal meetings, briefings, and events as needed; support set-up and clean up

Space and Conference Room Management

Manage conference room reservation systems and resolve scheduling conflicts; establish intake system for stakeholders wishing to use space

Oversee day-to-day space utilization; engage IT staff to troubleshoot A/V and other technology needs

Reconfigure the multi-purpose room for different uses (meetings, briefings, receptions, all-hands), including physically moving tables, chairs, and furniture

Liaise with building staff on use of the building conference center

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment

Security and Access

Manage employee and visitor badge access; issue, deactivate, and track badges

Serve as a point of contact for building security and visitor check-in procedures

Monitor compliance with office security protocols and escalate issues as needed

Facilities Coordination

Serve as the DC office's primary liaison to Corporate Facilities on maintenance requests, building management issues, and vendor coordination

Coordinate repairs, cleaning services, and building-related issues with building management/landlord

Support office moves, reconfigurations, or build-out projects as needed, including temporary oversight of We Work space in same building

General Office Management

Serve as a welcoming contact for staff, visitors, and guests

Prepare for and support executive guests (CEO, other C-suite visitors); provide five-star experience for them

Support onboarding logistics for new hires (workspace setup, badges, supplies)

Assist with planning and logistics for internal events, meetings, and government affairs-related convenings

Ensure consistent service levels, performance standards, and timely resolution of support requests.

Manage relationships with office vendors (cleaning, plants, mail/shipping, etc.)

Handle ad hoc administrative and operational requests from the Government Affairs & Policy team and broader office

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree preferred

3+ years of experience in office management, facilities coordination, or administrative operations, ideally in a fast-paced professional office environment

Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and competing requests

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable interacting with staff at all levels, visitors, and external vendors

Strong executive presence

Demonstrated reliability, discretion, and a service-oriented mindset

Ability to promote/foster a culture focused on responsiveness, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Proficiency with office/conference room scheduling software (e.g., Outlook, Google Workspace, room booking platforms) and badge/security access systems (or willingness to learn)

Ability to lift and move office furniture and equipment (up to 25–40 lbs) and to physically reconfigure room setups

 

Physical & Work Requirements

 

This is an on-site role based in the DC office, five days per week

May occasionally require early arrival or later departure to prepare for events, briefings, or meetings

Ability to regularly move, lift, and rearrange furniture and equipment for room setups/reconfigurations

Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the office for extended periods during setup/breakdown of events or room changes

Compensation Overview:

Washington DC - US: $149,350 - $180,971


The starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. We determine starting pay thoughtfully – carefully considering the nature of the role, required skills, work location, schedule and the knowledge and experience you bring. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance.

Benefits:

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, you may be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefit plans – including wellbeing support, retirement and financial protection benefits, and insurance offerings (medical, dental, vision, life and disability).

U.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year.

Non-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.

Depending on eligibility, employees may also have access to additional time-off benefits, including paid sick leave, up to two paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, and leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, or military needs. Eligible employees also enjoy an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
