The Opportunity

The Senior Manager – Strategic Sourcing ‘Core/Agile’ is responsible for leading and executing strategic sourcing and contracting activities across assigned External Manufacturing (EXM) Core/Agile portfolio areas, aligned to priorities set by Procurement Category Management, Teva’s Core/Agile EXM organizations and Teva’s Core/Agile Manufacturing organization. This role plays a key part in delivering sourcing strategies, executing sourcing events, and driving measurable value through disciplined sourcing practices.

Reporting to the Senior Director – Strategic Sourcing Core / Agile Lead, this role operates as a hands-on sourcing manager, operationalizing category strategies and business requirements into RFx events, negotiations, and contracts. The Senior Manager is accountable for driving sourcing execution excellence, ensuring consistency in approach, and building strong working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.

This role is well suited for a sourcing professional who is comfortable owning execution, leading sourcing initiatives, and driving results in a developing procurement environment.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

Strategic Sourcing Execution

Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing events for assigned EXM categories, suppliers, or initiatives in alignment with established category strategies and sourcing priorities.

Plan and execute RFx events, negotiations, and supplier selections with appropriate guidance from the Senior Director.

Capture category strategies into clear execution plans, timelines, and deliverables.

Ensure sourcing activities address cost, capacity, quality, service, and risk considerations.

Contracting & Commercial Support

Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, including pricing, capacity, and key commercial terms.

Partner with Legal and cross-functional teams to support contract development, review, and execution using established templates.

Support contract implementation by ensuring clarity of sourcing intent and negotiated outcomes.

Identify and escalate commercial or contractual risks as appropriate.

Value Delivery & Tracking

Deliver measurable sourcing value through cost optimization, negotiations, and contract execution aligned to category strategy objectives.

Support achievement of annual savings and value targets; clearly articulate sourcing approach and outcomes to stakeholders.

Track sourcing activities, outcomes, and benefits using standard tools and templates.

Support Finance with value validation and reporting processes.

Supplier Engagement & Market Insight

Engage suppliers through structured sourcing processes and commercial discussions.

Maintain awareness of supplier capabilities, capacity constraints, and relevant market dynamics, including should cost analysis and supplier economics.

Provide market and supplier insights to Category Managers and leadership to support planning and execution.

Support resolution of sourcing-related supplier issues within contractual scope.

Risk, Compliance & Quality Alignment

Ensure sourcing activities comply with procurement policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Identify and escalate sourcing-related risks (e.g., capacity, single sourcing, commercial exposure).

Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to ensure sourcing decisions are feasible and compliant.

Utilize procurement systems and tools effectively to support sourcing execution and tracking.

Stakeholder Partnership

Partner with Category Managers, External Manufacturing, Quality, and Other stakeholders to execute sourcing initiatives.

Communicate sourcing plans, progress, and outcomes clearly and consistently.

Build credibility through reliable delivery and effective collaboration.

Process & Capability Development

Apply standard sourcing tools, templates, and ways of working consistently.

Identify opportunities to improve sourcing efficiency and execution discipline within assigned scope.

Contribute to development and refinement of sourcing playbooks and standard work.

Support adoption of procurement systems and tools as capabilities mature.

Your Qualification and Experience

EDUCATION

Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or

Associate’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.

Expertise

Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end strategic sourcing and contracting activities, preferably within External Manufacturing or regulated industries.

Strong working knowledge of sourcing and negotiation practices.

Experience delivering savings and sourcing value initiatives.

Familiarity with pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.

Skills & Attributes

Strong execution and delivery mindset with attention to detail.

Effective negotiation and commercial acumen.

Solid stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.

Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to operate effectively in evolving procurement environments

Experience leading sourcing initiatives or projects required.
