How You’ll Spend Your Day
· Lead the preparation and execution of hospital tenders, including market data collection and analysis, as well as coordination with Logistics, Regulatory Affairs, and Finance teams to ensure successful tender submissions.
· Manage tender operations and commercial activities across the Serbia and Montenegro markets.
· Prepare and maintain all required tender documentation, execute tender procedures, and regularly review and update tender-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Monitor and manage tender inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted product availability.
· Collaborate with Portfolio and Marketing teams on the introduction and launch of new Hospital (Hx) products.
· Conduct market monitoring and competitive analysis, gather market intelligence, oversee accounts receivable collection activities, prepare commercial agreements, and monitor distributor transactions.
· Establish and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within the hospital channel.
· Participate in and coordinate attendance at professional and scientific events, including meetings, symposia, congresses, trade fairs, and other industry gatherings, both locally and internationally.
· Continuously monitor market trends, sales performance, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
· Support the implementation and execution of the company’s business policies and strategic objectives.
· Prepare reports, analyses, and business insights required for the development of annual operating plans and business growth strategies.
· Own the annual budgeting process within the scope of responsibility, ensuring alignment with corporate budgeting guidelines.
· Monitor monthly activities and expenses within the assigned area of responsibility and implement improvement initiatives to optimize performance and cost efficiency.
· Ensure full compliance with internal SOPs, company policies, and all applicable legislation and regulations in Serbia and Montenegro.
· Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by senior management.
Your Skills and Experience
• University degree in medicine or pharmacy.
• Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of the hospital and specialty-care business and a proven track record of delivering results.
• Typically 8–10 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, including relevant experience in oncology and/or hematology and previous team or business leadership responsibility.
• Fluency in Serbian and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong commercial leadership capabilities across sales, portfolio strategy, product management and execution, with the ability to communicate complex scientific and business information clearly and persuasively.
• Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and manage senior internal and external stakeholders, particularly across hospital, tender, reimbursement and contracting environments.
• Strong business and financial acumen, with hands-on responsibility for P&L performance, forecasting, budgeting, pricing and resource allocation.
• Experience with oncology, hematology, biosimilars, specialty generics or innovative medicines is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem, including hospital decision-making, key opinion leaders, payers, reimbursement pathways, public procurement and tender processes.
• Customer- and patient-focused approach, with the ability to convert market, customer and stakeholder insights into clear portfolio, account and execution priorities.
• Results-oriented, agile and accountable leadership style, with the resilience and sound judgement required to deliver sustainable growth in a complex and evolving market.
• Proven people-leadership skills, including setting direction and priorities, coaching and developing team members, building capabilities, managing performance and leading change effectively.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to align Sales, Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance and Compliance and drive coordinated execution without relying solely on formal authority.
• Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to shape and own the Hx Oncology and Hematology business strategy, define priorities and translate them into measurable objectives and disciplined execution.
• Strong external orientation and networking capabilities, with the ability to identify emerging treatment trends, portfolio opportunities, partnerships and access solutions and recommend appropriate business actions.
• Demonstrated commitment to compliance, integrity and ethical decision-making in line with company policies and the pharmaceutical industry Code of Conduct.
