The Position

The Delivery Management Professional (SE7) provides expert guidance on complex deliveries, drives efficiency improvements, influences stakeholder decisions, and mentors others to achieve strategic alignment and support team growth. In this role, you will navigate organizational complexity to define and communicate comprehensive solution visions and roadmaps for large-scale and strategically critical initiatives. Alongside driving end-to-end technical program execution, IT service performance, SLA adherence, and ITSM process optimization, you will lead cutting-edge AI and Agentic AI initiatives, taking end-to-end accountability for model lifecycle management, autonomous workflow integration, and governance. Depending on the organization's needs, you may operate within role archetypes such as Project Manager, Program Manager, Service (Delivery) Manager, ITSM Process SME, Scrum Master, RTE, STE, or Agile Coach. 

Description of the area

Job Responsibilities

Scope / (Content Leadership): Provides expert guidance and strategic direction on defining and managing scope for complex or high-impact initiatives. Develops, implements, and champions scope management strategies, frameworks, and best practices for relevant initiatives. Oversees the management of significant scope changes, ensuring strategic alignment and minimal disruption, while proactively identifying and driving improvements to scope-related processes for enhanced delivery efficiency.

Accountability/Problem Solving: Leads the analysis of complex and strategic delivery problems across boundaries, eliciting complex needs and influencing decisions. Accountable for delivery management on significant initiatives, defining strategic solutions, and driving consensus through persuasive communication and facilitation. Proactively identifies strategic opportunities and risks, and mentors colleagues on problem-solving.

Stakeholder Management: Identifies key executive stakeholders across organizational boundaries and analyzes complex stakeholder networks. Shapes governance frameworks and executes comprehensive stakeholder engagement and communication plans. Navigates matrix structures to build alignment between product vision, AI/data science engineering goals, IT service management, quality/compliance functions, and business leadership, resolving conflicts to establish strong collaborative partnerships.

Impact/Strategy: Provides consistent leadership and significant impact across major products within a product line or domain. Drives significant impact on projects and programs by embedding Agile best practices and leading organizational change initiatives. Fosters a culture of innovation by identifying practical applications for emerging AI technologies, evaluating modern technical solution options, introducing new features, and embedding delivery best practices to achieve long-term business objectives.

Complexity / (Product Size): Manages complex projects or services, potentially across domains, and leads delivery within a program or large initiative. Manages highly complex delivery involving multiple dependencies, opportunities, and risks. Handles ambiguous delivery requirements and leads the implementation of delivery frameworks while navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.

Business/Technical ability: Possesses in-depth business knowledge and understanding of market trends to shape delivery strategies that achieve strategic business objectives. Drives business process improvements and innovation, and leads the implementation of Agile frameworks and other delivery best practices. Manages large-scale, complex delivery programs and innovates delivery methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Vendor Management: Manages third-party vendor relationships, AI solution providers, contract execution, service level agreements (SLAs), and Statement of Work (SOW) compliance across the program footprint. Evaluates vendor performance, drives partner accountability, and negotiates contract renewals or resource shifts to guarantee high-quality external deliverables.

Resource Management: Defines talent allocation strategies, balances capacity planning across internal and external cross-functional teams (including data scientists, engineers, and domain SMEs), and resolves cross-program resource constraints. Forecasts future skill demands, aligns resource deployment with product roadmap milestones and operational SLAs, and supports overall team development.

Budget Tracking & Financial Management : Establishes, tracks, and manages operational (OpEx) budgets across products, systems, and delivery teams. Conducts regular financial forecasting, monitors burn rates, optimizes cost structures, and reports ROI metrics on technology and AI investments to senior business leadership.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

Proven track record operating in a Delivery Management archetype (e.g., Program Manager, STE, Agile Coach) with extensive experience managing large-scale, complex delivery programs.

Strong preference for technical project/program management experience along with hands-on practical experience implementing AI/ML solutions (e.g., NLP, automated case processing, predictive analytics, signal detection) in Pharmacovigilance (PV) and Drug Safety systems; experience deploying AI solutions in related life sciences domains such as Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, or Regulatory Affairs will also be considered.

Experience in embedding Agile best practices and leading organizational change initiatives across product lines or domains.

Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong relationships with key senior stakeholders and cultivating collaboration across organizational boundaries.

Proven experience managing operational budgets, capacity planning, and IT service performance/SLAs. 

Technical / Business Skills

In-depth domain knowledge in Pharmacovigilance processes or related life sciences domains, with hands-on exposure to implementing practical AI algorithms, machine learning models, or automation tools into enterprise software workflows.

Expertise in leading the implementation of Agile frameworks, delivery methodologies, and other best practices.

Advanced analytical skills to lead the analysis of complex, cross-boundary delivery problems and evaluate strategic solution options.

Additional Qualifications

Exceptional communication, facilitation, governance, and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive consensus on complex technical/AI solutions and navigate matrix conflicts.

Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities; acts as a mentor for team members, guiding them in complex scope management, problem-solving, AI delivery best practices, and continuous process improvement.
