Where:

Location: Raheen, Limerick.

What you’ll do:

Acting as the primary I&C representative within multidisciplinary project teams for projects from concept development through design, construction, commissioning, qualification and handover

Coordinating with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance, Operations and Quality groups

Providing technical leadership for instrumentation and control systems across manufacturing, utility and facility infrastructure projects

Supporting troubleshooting and root cause investigations associated with instrumentation and control system performance issues

Specifying and evaluating field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, level, load cells, pH, conductivity, TOC, UV and analytical instrumentation

Leading design reviews and approving instrumentation philosophies, P&IDs, instrument indexes, I/O lists, control narratives, loop drawings and vendor packages

Participating in HAZOPs, risk assessments, constructability reviews and design verification activities

Reviewing and approving instrumentation wiring diagrams, panel designs and control architecture

Establishing, maintaining and continuously improving site instrumentation and controls engineering standards and specifications

Providing technical direction to engineering consultants, system integrators and construction contractors

Leading technical assessments for equipment obsolescence, instrument upgrades and functional equivalency evaluations

Supporting FAT, SAT, commissioning, qualification and startup activities for new systems and modifications

Let’s find out if we’re a fit:

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum 8 years of engineering experience with increasing responsibility in instrumentation, controls and automation systems.

Demonstrated experience leading I&C engineering activities for projects within pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other highly regulated industries.

Strong knowledge of process instrumentation, industrial control systems and GMP regulated manufacturing environments.
