Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior Global Access Evidence Leader with deep EU HTA and advanced statistical and evidence-synthesis expertise to join our Evidence Chapter, a professional recognized within the European HTA community for advancing evidence standards and shaping submissions that secure patient access across EU member states. In this role, you will thrive in a collaborative environment and be passionate about making a difference.

The Opportunity

Lead EU HTA evidence strategy : Shape Roche's approach to EU HTA submissions by embedding sophisticated, anticipatory evidence strategies into clinical development from inception, ensuring alignment with EMA regulations, and the new EU HTA regulations. Position us as a benchmark for evidence excellence across European markets.

Drive methodological innovation in EU contexts : Leverage your established networks within European HTA bodies, payers, and health authorities to advance evidence standards and best practices, influencing how the industry approaches submissions to national HTA organizations and contributing to the evolution of EU HTA frameworks.

Architect compelling EU submissions : Design innovative, region-specific evidence packages that anticipate the needs of EMA committees, HTA bodies and national payers. Identify strategic evidence gaps early, pioneer novel data sources and analyses, and translate complex statistical findings into narratives that drive reimbursement and access decisions across EU markets.

Establish Roche as an EU HTA expert : Leverage your reputation and deep relationships within the European Access/HTA ecosystem to elevate submission quality, engage proactively with key opinion leaders and HTA bodies, and position Roche as a thought leader in EU evidence generation and submission strategy.

Lead strategic statistical analysis for EU evidence packages : Lead and critically evaluate complex statistical analyses, including network meta-analyses and real-world evidence syntheses, ensuring methodological rigor and compliance with EU HTA requirements while translating findings into compelling, region-appropriate narratives.

Enable affiliates and cross-functional teams : Guide European affiliate teams and cross-functional partners in building robust EU submission strategies, ensure alignment across EMA development pathways and national HTA submissions, and mentor colleagues on evolving EU regulatory and HTA landscapes.

Contribute to EU HTA evolution : Maintain influential engagement with European HTA bodies, regulatory agencies, and academic networks, actively participating in professional forums, contributing to methodological debates, and ensuring Roche remains at the forefront of EU evidence standards and innovation.

Who You Are

Advanced expertise & experience in EU HTA: You hold a Master's or Doctoral-level degree in applied statistics and bring 12+ years of deep, hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry, health economics/HTA consultancy, European payer organizations, EMA-regulated environments, or academic research with progressive strategic influence in European markets.

Recognized standing in the European HTA community: You are a known voice actively engaged with European HTA networks, national HTA bodies, or equivalent professional networks, holding established relationships with key opinion leaders and contributing to methodological discussions through publications, conference presentations, or advisory roles.

Deep knowledge of the EU HTA landscape: You demonstrate a thorough understanding of the EU HTA Regulation (2021/2282) and joint clinical assessment procedures, national HTA requirements across major European markets (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, etc.), EMA scientific advice and conditional approval pathways, and real-world evidence requirements in EU contexts.

Master-level statistical expertise & strategic vision: You possess mastery of advanced statistical methods (Generalized Linear Models, Survival Analysis, Network Meta-Analysis, Bayesian methods, real-world evidence analyses) using R and contemporary tools (GitLab, SAS, Python, WinBUGS, JAGS), paired with the ability to think strategically about EU market access and nuances across European healthcare systems.

Collaborative leadership & exceptional communication: You excel at leading cross-functional teams in matrix environments, engaging with European affiliate teams and external HTA bodies, and possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English (and ideally German, French, or other European languages) to translate technical analyses into compelling narratives.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
