About this opportunity

At Roche you can show up as yourself, embraced for the unique qualities you bring. Our culture encourages personal expression, open dialogue, and genuine connections,  where you are valued, accepted and respected for who you are, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally. This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

As the North America Functional Lead for Quote Management, you will independently own and drive  end-to-end business analysis and IT initiatives across the region, tackling complex commercial problems with emerging ambiguity. You will drive and deliver Quote- to- Cash (Q2C) initiatives and Diagnostics commercial launches, demonstrating a strong understanding of the business domain, related technologies, and their interdependencies to translate requirements into strategic implementation plans.

We are seeking a proactive Functional Lead with a proven track record of owning value delivery and strong functional/technical expertise in commercial systems. The ideal candidate must demonstrate true leadership and initiative, someone who proactively drives local initiatives end-to-end, shapes stakeholder thinking, and autonomously owns scope, decision-making, and delivery without requiring directional guidance.

*Must be willing to work on-site in our Roche Indianapolis location

The Opportunity

The Quote Management team is part of DIA Commercial Operations, a strategic global function within Roche Digital Technology (RDT), and is at the heart of our Diagnostics digital landscape. We are responsible for developing, globally rolling out, and continuously evolving technology solutions that enhance the experience of healthcare providers and patients. Serving as a link between global business units - such as Roche Diagnostics Solutions (RDS), Roche Information Solutions (RIS), and Commercial Enablement - and their operational goals, we design the digital architecture that enables Roche to scale its impact across APAC, EMEA/LATAM, and NAM.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic IT Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

Acts as the primary Quote Management IT representative and trusted consultant for commercial leadership.

Partners closely with IT leads and business leads on strategic prioritization and orienting demand towards delivering the highest value.

Proactively identifies business needs and proposes high-impact technical solutions.

Requirements Analysis & Solution Architecture:

Gathers complex commercial requirements across quoting, contracting, and adjacent processes, translating them into clear, actionable user stories.

Performs functional architecting, proposing solutions within the boundaries of existing systems.

System Configuration, Execution & Operational Support:

Executes hands-on configuration and adaptation, and drives regional rollouts for business priorities.

Provides hands-on support for data and configuration adjustments, and guides business stakeholders on master data.

Scope Governance & Global Alignment:

Owns scope definition and change control, managing significant scope changes to ensure strategic alignment and minimal delivery disruption.

Aligns regional Q2C processes with system-supported global standards, constructively challenging local deviations while advocating for legitimate regional needs.

Regional Delivery & Technical Liaison:

Leads QM regional IT initiatives and partners with global teams on technical delivery.

Acts as the direct technical liaison, bridging affiliate business needs and our global/offshore managed services.

Quality Assurance & Testing:

Defines acceptance criteria, designs test scenarios, and coordinates User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Change Management & Adoption:

Supports change management by providing training content, user documentation, and ongoing technical guidance to enable smooth business adoption.

Who you are (required skills and qualifications):

Demonstrated track record of taking complete ownership of complex initiatives, making independent strategic decisions when unguided, and actively influencing senior stakeholders rather than simply executing directed tasks.

5+ years as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or similar role in enterprise IT,  preferably in commercial operations Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) or Quote-to-Contract (Q2C) domains

Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.

Hands-on experience with Conga CPQ and Salesforce (SFDC) is highly beneficial. Experience with SAP SD/CRM or Apttus is a plus.

Familiarity with Jira for agile delivery and exposure to SAP S/4HANA.

Deep functional and technical knowledge of the Quote-to-Contract (Q2C), Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ), and Commercial Sales domains.

Proven track record of independently managing complex BA workstreams, driving regional rollouts, and executing localization system configurations.

Demonstrated ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships at multiple levels, with excellent communication skills bridging business and technical language.

Experience in matrixed, global organizations with distributed delivery teams; self-starter capable of operating independently.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
