The Position

The Opportunity

This role sits within the Business Partnering group which is focused on enabling greater customer centricity in GP by gathering and sharing business insights and feedback, promoting procurement solutions and services and simplifying partnering with procurement for the business.

As the Sr. Procurement Partnering Manager, you will work in a dynamic global environment where you will meet the challenge to bring focus on day-to-day customer engagement to enable an excellent, end-to-end customer experience. You act as the primary contact for your respective business customer and, thanks to your deep understanding of procurement and the customer day-to-day procurement-related needs, you provide simple and seamless access for Product Development (Roche’s late-stage R&D / Clinical Development organisation) to procurement, independent of the spend category. You collaborate with customers, internal procurement (i.e. Chapters, networks and capability areas eg core delivery, contracting, solutions, analytics, insights, etc.) and transactional/operations teams to align on needs and opportunity fulfilment or general service enhancements that improve the overall customer experience and realize value for the customer. You work closely with other team members as a Product Development subject matter expert, project or workstream lead to develop strategies, measure and track performance, while also identifying and leveraging synergies across Roche.

You act as a customer domain expert through your daily customer engagement,  providing business insights and opportunities to the procurement organization, including the tactical/operations teams, to (i) maintain and/or improve the end-to-end procurement experience for Product Development and proactively identify and develop opportunities where procurement can drive greater value realization for the business customer.

You are a strategy developer and value driver developing and driving operational and tactical business plans, including prioritization, customer buy-in for/sponsorship of applicable procurement services and solutions tailored to customer needs and aligned to overall customer and procurement strategies.

You are a procurement ambassador and customer partner, acting as the primary point of contact for specific customers, focused on simplifying and optimizing the customer experience across procurement, including identifying procurement opportunities, promoting solutions, and advocating for customer compliance (i.e., with policies, tools, processes) and adoption..

You will work with your team, broader capability area, networks, and squads/project teams to determine the various roles you can take to deliver or support both project and foundational work.

Your successful performance and contribution depend on the full embodiment and demonstration of core mindsets and behaviors, including curiosity, passion, an entrepreneurial spirit, enterprise thinking, inclusive collaboration, and desire for continuous learning that underpin our culture and ways of working.

Who You Are

You are a proactive, collaborative strategic partner who thrives in a matrix environment and is passionate about optimizing procurement to advance clinical development.

Qualifications : University degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

Relevant Experience: 7+ years of experience in multi-category procurement, key account management, or customer management leadership within complex/matrix organizations.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
