Astellas’ Global Capability Centres – Overview

Astellas’ Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are strategically located sites that give Astellas the ability to access talent across various functions in the value chain and to co-locate core capabilities that are currently dispersed. Our three GCCs are located in India, Poland and Mexico.

Working Environment and Location

This is a permanent role based in our Global Capability Centre in Warsaw, Poland and hybrid working with the expectation for some office presence. Flexibility may be required in line with business needs. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office

Purpose and Scope

The Process Enablement Expert serves as the critical link between MLR technology platforms, global processes, and the teams who create and approve content. This role is responsible for developing, embedding, and monitoring global MLR standards and governance to ensure repeatable, compliant execution and measurable value delivery across Astellas.

The scope of this role spans regions and geographies, with significant impact on the global content operating model. The role is accountable for MLR process integrity, governance oversight, documentation, and enablement, ensuring that process standardisation drives efficiency, risk reduction, predictability, and operational value. The role also acts as a key contributor and subject-matter partner to Content Enablement led solutions (including MLR AI), ensuring solutions are compliant, scalable, embedded into BAU operations, and deliver tangible business value.

This role sits within the Content & Channel Enablement Chapter, contributing deep process and governance expertise to enable scalable, compliant content operations across the organisation. As part of this chapter, the Process Enablement Expert plays an active role in the Content Foundations Value Team, partnering closely with Content & Channel Enablement, technology, and operations to ensure foundational processes deliver measurable business value. Through this value team model, the role focuses not only on process integrity and compliance, but on VALUE delivery- driving efficiency, reducing risk, improving predictability, and enabling sustainable reuse and scale across our content operations.

Role and Responsibilities

Own and continuously improve global MLR processes, standards, and governance

Drive process simplification, standardization, and scalability across regions

Ensure compliance, reduce risk, and improve operational efficiency

Lead MLR governance, monitoring, escalations, and corrective actions

Analyze operational data and translate insights into process improvements

Oversee management and remediation of high-risk and non-compliant materials

Maintain global MLR SOPs, policies, training content, and documentation

Support implementation and adoption of new solutions, technologies, and AI initiatives

Act as the global MLR subject matter expert and senior escalation point

Partner with stakeholders to drive governance, change adoption, and business value

Essential Qualifications

Solid experience within pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or a multinational organisation with global operations and local market footprint

Significant experience in content operations, including digital strategy, digital marketing, and multi channel content delivery roles

Experience working with content operations platforms, specifically Veeva PromoMats & Vault MedComms

Proven ability to diagnose, design, and optimise business processes, translating complexity into operational simplicity and repeatable ways of working

Experience leading, managing, or contributing to complex, project based initiatives across functions and geographies, strategic communication skills

Strong experience working across cross functional and cross regional stakeholders in a global organisation.

University degree

Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

Strong experience working within Agile or iterative delivery models, including collaboration within cross functional squads or value teams

Practical understanding of Agile ways of working (e.g. prioritisation, incremental delivery, continuous improvement) applied to process, governance, or enablement contexts

Strong awareness of digital innovation, content technology platforms, and workflow tools

Experience working across multiple geographies (e.g. Americas, Europe, Japan) within a cross continental organisation
