About our R&D Institute in Paris Saclay
At the heart of one of the world's top eight innovation clusters, the Servier R&D Institute at Paris-Saclay is where visionary science meets a powerful global ecosystem. By uniting our Group's innovation potential with this prestigious center of excellence, we are not only accelerating the future of therapeutic discovery but also championing the global influence of French research.
Are you a fast-learning scientist passionate about optimizing clinical drug trials through the investigation of endogenous biomarkers ? We are seeking a Scientist to join our R&D organization. In this role, you will develop robust protocols to extract liver-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) from culture media and human plasma and apply MultiOMICS (Proteomics and Transcriptomics) to monitor CYP450 and drug transporter induction/inhibition. Your work will reduce reliance on dedicated clinical DDI studies and feed into our global DDI monitoring strategy throughout clinical development.
Responsibilities
Design and conduct experiments with primary human hepatocytes, relevant cell lines, and human samples to set up, test, and optimize liver-derived EV isolation/enrichment protocols
Evaluate the reliability of EV-based readouts to assess xenobiotic impacts on ADME protein expression (CYP450 and drug transporters induction/inhibition)
Optimize sample preparation to maximize data yield from minimal plasma volumes
Perform quantitative studies of global protein and gene expression in extracted EVs and monitor induction effects
Work transversally with scientists across R&D to execute experiments and generate/analyze proteomics and transcriptomics datasets
Communicate results internally (presentations/posters) and externally (peer-reviewed journals, posters, conferences), where applicable
Contribute to general lab activities, including mentoring undergraduate/graduate students and participating in science outreach, where applicable
Profile
PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, or equivalent
Proven experience with extracellular vesicle extraction and analysis
Expertise in sample preparation and core biochemical methods (WB, ELISA, qPCR)
Proficiency in proteomics, genomics, and transcriptomics is valued
Some bioinformatics experience for protein identification and gene expression analysis
Knowledge of pharmacokinetics and cell culture is a plus (not required)
Ability to mentor internship- or technician-level collaborators
Team-oriented, results-driven, curious, and autonomous
Strong communication skills with demonstrated experience writing and publishing in international peer-reviewed journals
Our standard recruitment journey includes the following steps:
Prequalification Interview
Interview with the Manager
Interview with Talent Acquisition Team / Human Resources
Reference Check Process
At one stage of the process, we would be delighted to welcome you to our site to meet in person and share the environment where we work every day to transform patients' lives!

How we calculate "similar"
No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.
Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.
0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
