Manufacturing Intern
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Must be involved in projects including, but not limited to, changeover reduction, 5S, Pareto Analysis, time study, value stream mapping, standardized work, and optimization of workflows, kaizen events, Statistical Process Control, and Process Control Systems;
Basic use of project management skills;
Must be willing to troubleshoot maintenance and reliability issues;
Learn the basics of pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Packaging processing and equipment including dispensing, mixing, wet granulation, tablet compression, coating, and tablet printing;
Be able to review equipment specifications;
Be able to collect and analyze data to make decisions;
Work with non-union plant personnel and possibly external vendors to implement solutions.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
Currently either pursuing a Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering, Data Science, or other related technical discipline;
Must have completed at least 1 year of a Bachelors degree program;
Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English;
Experience with data analysis and root cause analysis;
Ability to work accurately and efficiently on multiple projects under tight timelines;
Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office/ Excel Pivot Tables;
Basic understanding of Process Control Systems and production floor automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior engineering internship or co-op experience ina pharmaceutical company in engineering or data science related job.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $24.00 to $43.25. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
