About the Role:

As a Finance Business Partner for Global Development Operations, you will be at the forefront of BioNTech’s clinical development activities in China, bridging strategic financial insights with operational excellence. Your role is pivotal in ensuring financial governance and supporting decision-making processes that drive impactful clinical trials. Through collaboration with cross-functional teams and leveraging your financial acumen, you'll help optimize resources, manage risks, and ensure compliance, all while supporting BioNTech’s mission to revolutionize medicine for patients worldwide.

Your Contribution:

Act as the lead finance partner for China GDO stakeholders, translating clinical activities into actionable financial strategies

Manage the financial lifecycle of clinical trials, ensuring visibility into commitments, accruals, and expenditures

Design, implement, and continuously improve SOX compliance controls related to budgeting and vendor management

Provide financial oversight for contracts and sourcing decisions with CROs and development service providers

Drive standardization and automation in SAP processes for project accounting and reporting

Collaborate globally to align local planning with BioNTech’s governance standards

A Good Match:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields; CPA/ACCA/CMA/MBA preferred

Minimum 10 years of relevant finance experience in FP&A, controlling, or R&D finance within pharmaceutical/biotech industries

Expertise in clinical trial cost drivers, SOX compliance frameworks, and SAP systems (preferably S/4HANA)

Professional fluency in English and Mandarin; strong communication skills for diverse audiences

Proactive mindset with high integrity; ability to navigate ambiguity while delivering results
