Working Environment and Location

This position is hybrid and will require you to be onsite 3 days a week at our AICL Kerry facility or Tralee facility and will require travel between both sites.

Working Hours

Full-time work hours.

This position is a 12-month FTC.

Purpose and Scope

Finance Business Partner supporting the Tralee Plant with primary responsibility for capital investment, fixed assets governance and grant-related activities

Partner with project and plant teams to provide financial insight, cost control and decision support across construction and development activities

Support delivery of management reporting, providing clear analysis of spend, variances and financial performance, the application of  R&D accounting and cost classification, ensuring appropriate treatment of costs across R&D, capital and operational phases

Support the transition from project to operational phase, including development and implementation of SAP CO structures and costing processes for the Tralee Plant

Maintain a strong focus on financial control, compliance and data accuracy across investments and plant expenditure

Support the wider Ireland Management Accounting team, including cross-site activities with Kerry Plant, to enhance consistency and reduce single points of failure

Role and Responsibilities

Finance Business Partnering (Projects & Plant Functions):

Partner with engineering, project and operational teams to support planning, cost control and delivery of capital projects.

Provide financial analysis and insight to support decision making across project and plant activities.

Support budget holders in managing spend, forecasts and financial performance against approved budgets.

Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders across project and plant functions.

Provide guidance and challenge to ensure strong financial discipline and accountability.

Capital Investment, Fixed Assets & Grants

Manage capital investment processes ensuring expenditure is approved, tracked and reported in line with AICL policies.

Maintain and monitor Investment Internal Orders in SAP including budget upload, tracking and commitment management.

Support governance of asset capitalisation ensuring accuracy between capital and expense classification.

Lead coordination of grant-related activities including tracking eligible costs and supporting claim submissions.

Provide visibility on capital project spend including variances and forecast positions

Continue:Role and Responsibilities

Management Reporting

Support the Project BP on preparation of monthly management reporting including analysis of project and plant spend by providing clear insights  into variances and trends across capital and operational activities.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes with focus on capex planning and cost phasing.

Deliver accurate and timely financial information to support plant and finance leadership.

Respond to ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests as required.

Apply accounting guidance to ensure appropriate classification between R&D, capital and operational costs.

Support identification of R&D phases and transition into operational activity.

Process Improvement and Systems

Support the transition from project phase to production by contributing to the design and implementation of SAP CO structures and plant costing processes.

Assist in setting up costing frameworks, including cost centres, internal orders, and allocation structures aligned to plant operations.

Support development of standard costing, cost allocation and variance analysis processes as the plant moves into production.

Cross-Site Support (AICL Finance)

Provide Finance support to 3 Plants including coverage for key activities where required

Contribute to reducing single points of failure across AICL MA Teams

Support alignment and standardisation of finance processes across sites

Other

Ensure compliance with all JSOX requirements

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards associated with cGMP, ISO 14001, EMAS, Health & Safety Legislation, Environmental Legislation, and also all site standards, policies, and procedures.

Mentor Finance graduates and Project Finance BP

Other activities and project work as directed by line Manager

Essential Qualifications

Professional Accounting Qualification (CIMA, ACA,  ACCA).

Adequate years experience in Accounting environment

Adequate experience in a Finance Business Partnering role, with a proven track record of active contribution to strategy development & successful implementation

SAP experience

Preferred Qualifications

Product costing experience operating on a SAP platform.

Expert knowledge of SAP, particularly FI/CO, PP, SD and MM modules.

Experience using & developing Data Analytics & BI tools
