Your role:

The Sourcing Manager (f/m) will lead the end-to-end strategic sourcing process for our key strategic suppliers, translating category strategies into actionable sourcing plans that support the company’s business objectives.

You will collaborate closely with Category Managers to identify opportunities, negotiate favorable terms, and qualify and manage strategic supplier relationships to drive growth and innovation. You will oversee supplier identification, performance management, and issue resolution to ensure high-quality, compliant outcomes. Your leadership will help generate value across financial contribution, supply security, and sustainability for your assigned plants and suppliers.

You will develop, implement, and support category strategies that align with manufacturing and business goals, while addressing risk and quality concerns. You will balance speed and rigor in a fast-paced environment, delivering timely results without compromising standards. You will apply your knowledge of manufacturing processes and cGMP practices to optimize sourcing decisions where applicable. You will continuously seek process improvements and innovative approaches to reduce total cost of ownership while maintaining supplier performance.

You will build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to align on strategy and execution. You will monitor market dynamics, benchmark alternatives, and drive supplier diversification and resilience. You will communicate clearly, persuasively, and with integrity to all levels of the organization.

This position is based in Guyancourt, France, and requires up to 15% business travel.

Who you are:

Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Life Sciences.

You bring either a minimum of 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management or Procurement within the Life Sciences industry, focusing on strategic suppliers' management, sourcing strategies and supplier relationship management.

Or at least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Supplier Performance Management or Operations, with proven expertise in supplier governance, performance reviews, continuous improvement initiatives and supply continuity.

Experience in a large multinational organization within Life Science or Medical Device sectors, ideally in a global, matrix environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage the end-to-end sourcing process, including supplier identification, negotiations, qualification, and performance management.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Proven leadership capabilities and experience directing cross-functional sourcing initiatives.

Proactive, innovative mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and strategic thinking.

Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of complex judgment and data-driven decisions.

Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Oracle), plus familiarity with project management principles.

Fluent in French and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
