The GPO and Specialty Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Account Management approach to Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and Specialty Pharmacies (SPs) (eg, ION, OnMark, Unity, VitalSource, Premier, Vizient, Biologics, Onco360, US Bioservices, etc.) in the U.S.

This role is charged with ensuring that Eisai has relevant relationships with GPOs/SPs to help ensure appropriate access to Eisai oncology products in the physician office/hospital setting of care.

This role works with other members of Market Access to negotiate all contracts with the GPO/SP to ensure appropriate product placement within target rates and excellent patient/data service levels.

Responsibilities also include leading bi-weekly business teleconferences, creating business plans, rollout of Eisai product marketing objectives and developing ongoing access metric reports.  This position also interacts on a regular basis with other Account Management teams, Field Sales Management, Customer Marketing, Pricing and Contracting, Marketing and counterparts within co-promotional partner organizations.  This is a field-based position that reports to the Director, GPO SP Account Management.  Responsibilities:

National Account Executive

Develop and implement account-specific strategies to meet objectives for assigned national accounts.

Represent and sell features and benefits of Eisai product portfolio to assigned national account contacts.

Develop and execute educational programs that assist national account stakeholders with product understanding and patient guidance.

Work with customer marketing team to align national account business plans with brand plans and effectively implement those plans at national and regional levels.

Manage access and policy for Eisai’s products for national accounts and appropriately communicate status with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., leadership, field sales, AEs, marketing, HEOR).

Collaborate and assist sales regions, as needed, with pull-through support and education.

Negotiate and manage contracts with national accounts.

Sr. National Account Executive (in addition to above)

Anticipate and address complex national account requirements effectively in proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams based (e.g., sales, value & access, contracting based) on deep understanding of overall acquisition process and landscape.

Train and mentor early career account executives (regional and national) around effective planning and management of accounts and customer engagement.

Qualifications:

National Account Executive

Bachelor's degree (Advanced degree preferred) with 10+ years of commercial experience.

Prior experience in large account management with health care background.

Experience in account management, consulting and/or with health care in any specific segment (e.g., trade, payer).

Strong account management and cross-functional leadership experience.

Experience owning and negotiating contracts and agreements for national accounts.

Proven track record of providing thought leadership, influencing decisions across all levels of the organization, and driving results through cross-functional teams.

Experience working with both medical and pharmacy benefits.

Experience working with various acquisition models including but not limited to white bagging, brown bagging, buy and bill.

Proven experience in earlier role.

Sr National Account Executive

Proven performance as an NAE with demonstrated proficiency in successfully managing/overseeing portfolio of complex/critical national accounts.

Demonstrated success in driving strategy and tactics for national accounts to optimize organizational outcomes in line with changing environmental/government policy landscape.

Eisai Salary Transparency Language:

The annual base salary range for the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), Account Executive - West (Field Based) (CA, WA, OR, AK, ID, WY, MT, UT, NV HI) is from :$189,900-$249,300

Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in : Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan & Eisai Inc. Long Term Incentive Plan.

Final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.
