The Opportunity
You shape the future of medicine by leading and contributing to medical strategies for innovative antibiotics.
You design and deliver integrated evidence generation plans, spanning clinical studies, IISs, real-world data, and scientific collaborations.
You bring deep medical expertise in Infectious Diseases to guide development, launch, and patient access.
You build trusted partnerships with global medical leaders, patient organizations, payers, and public-private health institutions.
You strengthen market access strategies by integrating clinical and ecosystem insights into value-driven solutions.
You inspire confidence and trust through scientific dissemination, education, and peer-to-peer engagement.
You represent Roche globally, sharing insights and thought leadership with the wider medical community.
You empower and mentor colleagues across the worldwide medical network, fostering collaboration and agility.
Who you are
Education: PhD or MD in Medicine, Life Sciences, or a related field.
Dual Clinical & Industry Track Record: At least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Medical Affairs (at local and global levels) combined with hands-on clinical hospital experience (e.g., acute hospital care, ICU, Infectious Diseases, or Antimicrobial Resistance).
Therapeutic Expertise: Deep scientific proficiency spanning Infectious Diseases, Antimicrobial Resistance, and Respiratory diseases (e.g., ILD, COPD).
Ecosystem & TAE Engagement: Demonstrated success in building scientific networks and external stakeholder engagement from the ground up, with established connections to multidisciplinary specialists, ICU clinicians, hospital pharmacists, and global healthcare bodies (e.g., WHO, FIND, BARDA, Gates Foundation).
Evidence Generation Strategy: Proven capability in orchestrating end-to-end evidence generation frameworks, leveraging Real-World Data (RWD) and clinical study designs to drive pre-launch readiness and asset optimization.
Strategic & Matrix Leadership: Strong experience acting as a conduit between Global Medical vision and local affiliate needs, managing cross-functional matrix environments (Commercial, Clinical Ops, Medical) across diverse geographies and Must-Win Markets.
Communication & Dissemination: Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus) with strong strategic agility and experience leading scientific dissemination strategies (e.g., via Medical Community Forums and congress orchestration).
