About this opportunity
Job Description
The person will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis to support Product Selection and Product Strategy, with the objective of effectively managing and maintaining the overall health of the Product Portfolio across the markets we carry. The role will involve evaluating product and portfolio performance, analysing financial trends, identifying key business drivers and providing actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
He/she will also be responsible for managing the annual Product R&D Budget, including budgeting, forecasting, tracking of actual spends and preparation of Monthly Latest Estimates (LE). The incumbent will work closely with relevant business and functional stakeholders to understand key cost drivers, monitor budget utilisation, analyse variances against plan and highlight potential risks and opportunities. The role will also support the preparation and evaluation of business plans, forecasts and financial scenarios to enable informed resource allocation decisions.
In addition, the role requires the incumbent to take ownership of various Finance Digitalisation and Analytics initiatives, with a focus on improving the efficiency, accuracy and accessibility of financial information. This will include supporting the development and continuous improvement of finance dashboards, automating recurring reporting and analytical activities, and ensuring the accuracy and timely upkeep of financial metrics across relevant dashboards.
The incumbent will be expected to work with large and diverse datasets, develop meaningful financial and business insights, and translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for stakeholders. The role requires strong collaboration across Finance, Product, R&D and other cross-functional teams, along with the ability to independently drive analytical assignments and digitalisation projects from conceptualisation through implementation.
Qualifications
• MBA in Finance / CA, with around 3–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, Business Finance or a similar financial planning and analysis role.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, including preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts, Latest Estimates and variance analysis.
• Good command over compilation, analysis and interpretation of financial statements, cost management, preparation of budgets and business plans, and evaluation of financial and business performance.
• Strong business and commercial acumen, with the ability to connect financial performance with underlying business, product and operational drivers.
• Familiarity with data visualisation and Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI, with an ability to use dashboards effectively for financial reporting and decision support.
• Flair for Big Data Analytics, with the ability to work with large datasets, identify patterns and relationships, and convert data into meaningful business insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail and an orientation towards understanding root causes rather than limiting analysis to reported numbers.
• Ability to analyse historical and emerging trends, perform variance and scenario analysis, identify risks and opportunities, and draw actionable insights from financial and operational data.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate financial analysis and insights in a clear and structured manner to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, manage multiple priorities and take ownership of deliverables within agreed timelines.
• A digital and continuous-improvement mindset, with an interest in identifying opportunities to automate financial processes, simplify reporting and strengthen data-driven decision-making.
