The Position

The Senior Solution Architect designs business-driven, standards-based, and future-ready solutions within the ERP Plan to Deliver Products (P2DP) Intercompany Supply Chain (ICSC) domain. In this role, you will define technical strategy and drive end-to-end technical delivery across core ERP capabilities. Serving as the System Architect for Agile Release Trains (ARTs), you will design solutions aligned with product requirements, business priorities, and enterprise standards while managing non-functional requirements (NFRs) and fitness functions. You will lead cross-functional teams to solve complex problems, evaluate emerging technologies, manage technical debt, and provide expert guidance to live operational sites.

Description of the area

Job Responsibilities

Architectural Governance: Define the ART Architectural Runway and serve as the technical lead for agile teams. Establish architectural guardrails, ensure solution design assurance, and lead architecture reviews through designated governance bodies. Enforce strict adherence to enterprise core principles, business alignment, and compliance standards while mitigating architectural risks and technical debt.

Delivery Support: Act as System Architect for core RDT-ERP ARTs. Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery for deployment readiness while minimizing workarounds and transition friction. Own and implement system enablers to achieve strategic business goals. Serve as the primary escalation point for live site incidents, maintaining SLA compliance and audit readiness for systems and documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement: Articulate complex architectural concepts and trade-offs clearly across cross-functional teams and ARTs. Collaborate closely with agile teams to support feature grooming, solution delivery, and alignment between business and technical stakeholders.

Impact & Strategy: Drive the technology roadmap within the ERP ICSC domain. Support release management and system upgrades to minimize post-go-live operational disruption. Identify innovation opportunities, lead Proofs of Concept (POCs) for emerging technologies, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education / Experience

Proven track record of maintaining the vision, roadmap, and current-state landscape for ERP solutions while evaluating initiative impacts on capabilities, risks, and overall architecture.

Hands-on experience leading SAP implementations with a focus on Intercompany Supply Chain, including Sales & Distribution (SD), Intercompany STOs, Transportation Management (TM), Global Trade Services (GTS), and Finance  integration.

Cross-functional knowledge of Quality Management (QM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Manufacturing (PP), and Materials Management (MM) is beneficial.

Solid understanding and practical experience applying Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles and methodology within an enterprise environment.

Technical Skills

Valuable skills: Architecture Governance & Data Modeling: Demonstrated ability to design conceptual and logical data models, integration patterns, NFR frameworks, and reference architectures across complex supply chain ecosystems.

Additional Qualifications

Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics for diverse audiences and drive alignment.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
