We are searching for the best talents for the 4 years Electrical & Instrumentation Technician roles to be in Cork, Ireland.
Purpose: The apprenticeships will provide the opportunity for the suitable candidate to become fully qualified in the relevant discipline through a mixture of on-site work experience and off-site block release with SOLAS (previously FAS) through their Standards Based Apprenticeship Programme. The apprentices will be trained on a broad range of equipment and systems as used in a pharmaceutical production facility.
The Maintenance E&I Apprentice will develop the knowledge, skills and experience required to become a qualified Electrical and Instrumentation Technician within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The apprentice will work alongside experienced maintenance personnel, gaining practical hands-on experience in the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and repair of site equipment and utilities while completing the formal educational requirements of the apprenticeship programme.
The role provides exposure to a wide range of electrical, instrumentation, automation and reliability activities within a highly regulated GMP environment.
This apprenticeship consists of four on-the-job phases with an approved employer and three off-the-job phases in an educational organization. Apprentices will be invited to attend their off-the-training phases in accordance with the SOLAS scheduling system.
Required Qualifications:
Leaving Certificate with a pass in Math and English
Interest in electrical and instrumentation activities and basic hands-on or practical proficiency.
A positive mindset and eagerness to learn within the E&I trade, coupled with a strong foundation or interest in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Technical Drawing, Construction Studies, or Agricultural Science.
