The ideal location for this role is East Hanover, NJ but a distant working arrangement may be possible in certain states. Distant workers are responsible for the cost of home office expenses and periodic travel/lodging will be determined necessary by hiring manager. For associates working on-site, relocation assistance to be within 50 miles of the site may be available. This position will require 10% travel as defined by the business (domestic and or international).
Reporting to the Executive Director, NovaOS Product Lead, the Director, NovaOS Product Owner is responsible for owning a portfolio of NovaOS capabilities from concept through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement. The role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders, product management, engineering, UX, and AI teams, ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value while aligning with the enterprise product strategy. Responsibilities:• Own the product backlog, roadmap execution, and feature prioritization for assigned NovaOS capabilities. • Partner with business stakeholders to define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics. • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Applied AI, UX, Data Science, and Architecture teams to deliver high-quality AI-enabled products. • Drive product discovery, user validation, release planning, and continuous improvement based on customer feedback and analytics. • Monitor product adoption, business outcomes, KPIs, and user satisfaction to inform future enhancements. • Ensure alignment with enterprise product standards, governance, Responsible AI requirements, and platform architecture. • Lead cross-functional product ceremonies and serve as the primary product owner for assigned initiatives. Education:Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline. Requirements:• 8+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, business analysis, or digital product delivery. • Experience delivering enterprise software, AI-enabled products, or digital transformation initiatives using agile product management practices. • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and prioritization skills with the ability to translate business needs into product requirements. • Working knowledge of AI, analytics, data platforms, UX principles, and modern software development lifecycles. Preferred: • Experience supporting enterprise AI platforms, commercial systems, or data-driven products. • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries. The salary for this position is expected to range between $194,600.00 and $361,400.00 annual per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
