The Director, New Products & Business Development will enable US market readiness and shape go-to-market strategies for priority Oncology Solid Tumor assets and precision medicine opportunities. This role will represent the US market in global discussions and provide commercial input on compound strategy, positioning, trademark and branding, and key pre-launch initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

US Readiness & Go-to-Market Strategy

Lead development and execution of robust go-to-market strategies to ensure US readiness for new Oncology Solid Tumor assets.

Define launch readiness priorities, critical milestones, and decision points across pre-launch planning.

Translate asset strategy into practical launch planning implications for the US market.

Global Representation & Compound Strategy

Represent the US market in global forums and provide strategic input on compound strategy, positioning, trademark and branding, and key pre-launch initiatives.

Ensure US customer, marketplace, and competitive considerations are reflected in global decision-making.

Strategic Planning & Market Shaping

Drive US strategic planning, including positioning, value proposition development, and input into US label planning to align with market needs.

Develop and implement early market-shaping strategies, including unbranded market development, evidence generation, and Key Opinion Leader engagement.

Commercial Insight Integration

Ensure commercial insights inform clinical development plans, competitive vision, Target Product Profile, and value proposition for products progressing through investment governance.

Partner with Analytics to develop customer-insight-based forecasts and valuations that guide stage-gate decisions.

Business Development Support

Lead US input on selected Business Development opportunities, including competitive landscape assessment, opportunity identification, and prioritization of required product attributes.

Provide clear US commercial perspective to support opportunity evaluation and investment decision-making.

Experience & Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. MBA or advanced degree is helpful.

A minimum of 8 years business experience with significant pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry focus is required.

Experience in oncology, specialty therapeutics, precision medicine, new product planning, launch strategy, business development, or related commercial strategy roles is required.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional strategy in a matrixed environment and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.

Strong understanding of US market dynamics, customer insights, competitive strategy, evidence generation, and launch readiness planning.

Experience integrating analytics, forecasting, valuation, and market research into strategic recommendations.

Strong communication skills, including ability to translate complex asset strategy into clear decisions, tradeoffs, and action plans.

Strategic, collaborative, and externally oriented, with strong business judgment and customer-back thinking.

Comfortable operating in ambiguity, shaping strategy early, and moving work from insight to decision.

Able to balance enterprise/global inputs with a clear point of view on what is required for US launch success.

Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies, such as AI, through exploration, iteration, and applying new tools over time is preferred.
