About this opportunity

Director, Global Evidence and Outcomes (GEO) Lead, Early Portfolio and Business Development

Want to help shape the evidence strategy that will define the value of Lundbeck’s future portfolio? Please read on!

This role is one of three portfolio-focused GEO leadership positions within the Global Evidence & Outcomes organization and reports directly to the Vice President, Head of Global Evidence & Outcomes, Global Clinical Development, R&D.

As a member of the GEO Leadership Team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping evidence and value demonstration strategies across Lundbeck's Early Portfolio and inform Business Development opportunities.

The Director & GEO Lead serves as the primary GEO representative and strategic partner to cross-functional asset teams, ensuring that GEO expertise and capabilities are effectively leveraged to address key evidence needs throughout the product lifecycle.

As the voice of GEO within the asset team, the GEO Lead brings together expertise from Real-World Evidence & Epidemiology, Patient-Centered Outcomes, and GEO Analytics, to identify and deliver fit-for-purpose evidence solutions that support development decisions, regulatory interactions, differentiation and value demonstration.

A key component of the role is serving as a strategic partner to US Medical Affairs leadership for Early Portfolio and Business Development and a trusted bridge between Global and US organizations.

Ultimately, the position offers the chance to bring the future perspectives of regulators, payers, clinicians, patients, and health systems into today's evidence generation efforts, ensuring evidence considerations are embedded early to maximize the value of Lundbeck's innovation portfolio.

Your new role

Shape evidence strategies for assigned Early Portfolio and Business Development assets as the primary GEO strategic evidence partner and thought leader by identifying evidence generation gaps, generating and assessing the feasibility of innovative evidence approaches, and influencing evidence strategies aligned with key asset objectives.

Foster successful collaboration, alignment, accountability, and execution excellence across GEO matrix asset teams (RWE & Epidemiology, Patient-Centred Outcomes, and GEO Analytics), creating an environment where individual contributors are empowered to excel, their expertise is visible, and their collective impact is maximized.

Influence cross-functional asset teams, governance forums, and portfolio discussions by representing GEO with scientific credibility, strategic insight, and proactive stakeholder engagement.

Shape and influence evidence strategies through close collaboration with Research, Experimental Medicine, Therapeutic Areas, Regulatory Strategy, Medical Safety, Global and US Medical Affairs, Global Value & Patient Access, Global New Asset Strategy and Business Development to support portfolio prioritization, target product profiles, due diligence, early development decisions, and future regulatory and value evidence planning.

You will serve as the primary strategic GEO partner to US Medical Affairs leadership, influencing alignment of Global and US evidence priorities to maximize asset value and differentiation.

Champion Lundbeck's scientific leadership by serving as a strategic thought leader at international congresses, advisory boards, industry collaborations, and expert forums, influencing the external evidence landscape and strengthening Lundbeck's scientific reputation.

Note: to fulfil these requirements, travel to the US is expected approximately 25-30 days annually.

Your future team

Global Evidence & Outcomes (GEO) is a strategic function within Global Clinical Development, R&D, that generates integrated evidence to support informed decisions across the entire product lifecycle. Working at the intersection of science, medicine, and patient needs, GEO partners with colleagues across R&D, Corporate Portfolio and Product Strategy, and key markets to ensure the right evidence is generated at the right time.

At Lundbeck, GEO is more than an evidence-generating function, we are a collaborative, scientifically driven team committed to advancing innovative treatments and delivering meaningful value for patients around the world.

The position is based in Valby, Denmark.

What you bring to the team

Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MPH, MSc or equivalent) in HEOR, Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Services Research, Psychometrics, Statistics, or related discipline.

12+ years of experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or consulting industries.

Demonstrated success developing and executing evidence strategies supporting product development, regulatory interactions, value demonstration, and commercialization.

Proven ability to partner with senior leaders across Global and US organizations.

Strong understanding of current and evolving Regulatory and Payer/HTA environments in key markets (US & EU preferred - China & Japan are a plus).

Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with strong cultural awareness (including matrix leadership skills).

Strategic thinking and ability to lead without direct authority in a matrix environment.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
