What you will d o

Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role, you will own the day-to-day product lifecycle for Planisware, connecting user needs, business priorities, and technology delivery to improve product adoption, platform performance, and measurable business outcomes.

In this vital role, the Planisware Product Manager will manage the day-to-day product delivery, business administration, sustainment, and continuous improvement of Planisware for Process Development. The role serves as the operational liaison among the state-side Business Product Owner, platform users, business stakeholders, and development teams.

The Planisware Product Manager will convert business priorities into an actionable team backlog; coordinate requirements, configuration, testing, releases, user support, and platform documentation; and coach the delivery team in Agile ways of working.

Key responsibilities

Product management and backlog execution

Manage and prioritize the Planisware team backlog in alignment with direction established by the Enterprise Business Platform Owner / Business Owner.

Support Business Product Owner in translating business needs, user feedback, and processing requirements into clear features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery-ready work.

Clarify requirements, make day-to-day scope trade-offs within approved priorities, and keep the delivery team focused on the highest-value work.

Coordinate roadmap execution, release planning, demonstrations, stakeholder feedback loops, and status reporting.

Planisware administration and product operations

Coordinate platform configuration, testing, defect remediation, change control, release readiness, deployment support, and post-release stabilization with technical teams.

Monitor support trends, data quality concerns, platform usage, and recurring issues; coordinate corrective and preventive actions.

Support Planisware capabilities for project timelines, portfolio information, algorithm-driven resource forecasting, reporting, and integrations.

Agile delivery

Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and Program Increment or quarterly planning activities.

Coach the team on Scrum, flow, quality, transparency, self-management, and continuous improvement practices.

Identify and remove impediments; coordinate dependencies, risks, and delivery issues across business, product, platform, and partner teams.

Use delivery measures such as sprint goal attainment, cycle time, throughput, spillover, and impediment trends to improve team execution and predictability, not to evaluate individual performance.

Create an environment of trust, accountability, constructive challenge, and continuous learning.

Business analysis, user support, and adoption

Liaise between business owners, users, and development teams to streamline product development and maintain shared understanding of priorities and requirements.

Gather and analyze user feedback and voice-of-customer input; identify support needs and convert validated insights into backlog items or process improvements.

Coordinate user onboarding, demonstrations, training, communications, job aids, and knowledge articles.

Support users in understanding Planisware functionality, data standards, reporting outputs, and resource-forecasting processes.

Partner with adjacent KAI platform teams to align capabilities, technologies, dependencies, and user experiences.

Governance, quality, and compliance

Ensure product delivery and administration follow applicable Amgen policies, quality requirements, documentation standards, and established governance processes.

Maintain traceability from business need through requirement, testing, approval, release, and operational support.

Escalate material business-priority, risk, scope, or investment decisions to the Enterprise Business Platform Owner / Business Owner.

Capture lessons learned and embed improvements in delivery and support practices.

Preferred qualifications

Experience administering, configuring, supporting, or managing Planisware or a comparable project and portfolio management platform.

Experience serving as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Scrum Master, Business Systems Analyst, or platform administrator in an Agile product environment.

Working knowledge of project portfolio management, integrated timelines, resource forecasting, capacity planning, reporting, and data-quality practices.

Experience translating business processes into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and release plans.

Experience facilitating Scrum and Kanban practices and using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or comparable delivery tools.

Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Scrum Master, Product Owner / Product Manager, PMI-ACP, or comparable Agile certification.

Experience coordinating user acceptance testing, release readiness, change management, training, and production support.

Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing, R&D, or another regulated environment.

Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, conflict-resolution, stakeholder-management, and influencing skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities, operate effectively with incomplete information, and maintain delivery focus in a matrixed environment.

Education & Experience requirements

Master's or Bachelor’s degree with 10 -14 years of product, program, project, business systems, or platform experience

Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional product, platform, project, or program delivery and directing work across contributors with different areas of expertise.

Demonstrated experience managing a product or system backlog from intake through prioritization, build, testing, release, and sustainment.

Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and improving delivery flow, transparency, predictability, and team effectiveness.

Demonstrated experience administering or supporting an enterprise business application, including issue resolution, documentation, release support, and user enablement.

Demonstrated experience communicating risks, dependencies, trade-offs, status, and decisions to business and technical stakeholders.

Demonstrated record of solving ambiguous operational or digital-product problems using data, structured analysis, stakeholder input, and sound judgment.

How success will be measured

Backlog readiness, transparency, and alignment to approved business priorities.

Predictable sprint and release execution, with risks and dependencies surfaced early.

Platform stability, timely issue resolution, effective administration, and reduction of recurring support issues.

Quality of requirements, testing, documentation, release readiness, and traceability.

User adoption, training effectiveness, stakeholder satisfaction, and responsiveness to validated feedback.

Continuous improvement in delivery flow, team practices, data quality, and operational support.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
