About this opportunity

CMC Project Manager

Would you like to help strengthen how CMC projects are planned, managed and communicated across Lundbeck? In this newly established role, you will work closely with CMC Project Leads and help create the transparency, tools and ways of working that enable strong project execution and decision-making.

Your new role

As CMC Project Manager, you will provide project management support across our CMC project portfolio, partnering closely with CMC Project Leads and stakeholders across the organisation. You will play an important role in strengthening financial transparency and budget optionality, working closely with teams and Finance to connect project plans, forecasts and financial commitments. By providing clear insights into committed and flexible spend, scenario implications and upcoming decision points, you will help enable informed prioritization, resource allocation and portfolio decisions. You will also develop and maintain project management tools, processes and standards by leveraging digital tools, automation and AI-enabled solutions to improve planning, forecasting, reporting and portfolio transparency, helping project teams spend less time on manual processes and more time on value-adding activities. As the role is newly established, you will have an opportunity to shape how we work and contribute to building a strong, consistent project management capability within CMC.

Your future team

You will join a newly established team of seven CMC Project Leads, working across CMC development projects and in close collaboration with colleagues across CMC and the broader organisation. We are building the team and our ways of working together, giving you a unique opportunity to influence how the role develops and how we support projects. You can expect a collaborative environment with high professional standards, open dialogue and a shared focus on enabling project teams and leaders to make well-informed decisions and deliver on their commitments.

The role is part of the CMC Digital & AI and Program Management organisation, and you will report directly to the Vice President of the area.

The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What you bring to the team

You combine solid project management capabilities with a structured and analytical approach and an interest in leveraging automation, data and AI to improve planning, reporting and ways of working You are comfortable working with financial information and turning complex project data into clear overviews and reporting for different audiences. You enjoy creating practical tools and processes, and you build effective relationships across functions and organisational levels.

We imagine that you bring:

Relevant higher education and experience from project management, project coordination or a similar role in a complex organization.

Strong analytical skills and experience with project financials, forecasting, reporting and/or portfolio overviews.

Financial understanding and the ability to work closely with CMC Finance Business Partner on budgets, forecasts and reporting.

Experience developing and maintaining project management tools, processes and ways of working.

Solid stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to create alignment and communicate effectively with project teams, senior stakeholders and governance forums.

You are proactive, pragmatic and comfortable working in a role that is still being shaped. You bring structure without creating unnecessary complexity, take ownership of your deliverables and are motivated by helping others succeed. How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
