The Opportunity

The Case Processing Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of Case Processors (primarily India-based, early‑career professionals) to ensure high‑quality, timely, and compliant ICSR handling for Teva’s Post-Marketing global portfolio. The role combines hands‑on case processing expertise with people leadership, ensuring team members grow into strong future PV professionals within Teva.

Developing junior talent

Embedding Teva’s quality and compliance culture

Supporting SDI’s long‑term internalization strategy

Partnering effectively with global functions and vendor teams

The Case Processing team leader reports to the ICSR Global Operations Leader.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

Case Processing Expertise & Compliance Leadership:

Process ICSRs in the global safety database (approx. 2-4 cases/week) to remain hands-on and maintain subject‑matter credibility.

Act as the team’s Senior SME, ensuring deep knowledge of all post‑marketing case types (e.g., Literature, PSP, Market Research, Spontaneous).

Support team members in applying conventions, medical judgment, coding, and narrative standards.

Collaborate with Vendor management and ICSR monitoring SMEs to ensure alignment between internal teams and vendor Case Processors.

Drive Compliance with all KPIs and PIs related to ICSR quality, timelines, and operational performance.

Ensure full adherence to Teva SOPs/WIs and international PV regulations.

Contribute to drafting, updating, and reviewing operational SOPs/WIs. Oversee CAPAs, deviations, and regulatory updates for own area of responsibility, with full accountability for timely closure and continuous improvement.

Operational Direction & Process Excellence :

Support in executing the strategic roadmap for postmarketing ICSRs, aligned with SDI internalization roadmap, industry trends, and evolving regulatory expectations.

Develop  real-time monitoring and forecasting models to support workload planning and seamless execution

Develop individual performance metrics to identify talent and improvement needs.

Support capacity growth aligned with SDI’s internalization targets.Identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation using tools such as, bots,  AI and workflow optimization.

Promote a proactive operational culture - anticipating issues and reducing reliance on retrospective corrections ('right the first ).

 Stakeholder Partnership & Cross-functional Engagement

Serve as the primary operational point of contact for global stakeholders related to case processing including  ICSR Conventions, Data Quality SMEs, PV Systems Management SMEs Participate in global working groups, forums, and cross-functional initiatives to drive alignment and best practice adoption.

Provide operational insights, metrics abd recommendations to SDI leadership team to support decision-making and long-term planning.

Team Leadership, Development & Engagement

Lead, coach and mentor a   team of case processors with clear goals and IDPs.

Foster a culture of quality, ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.

Address people-related matters proactively and partner with your direct manager, HR and site leadership to ensure engagement, well being, and career development.

Align team capacity and structure with business needs to ensure readiness and resilience.

Your Qualifications and Experience

Graduation / Post graduation in registered life sciences or another related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmacovigilance with strong knowledge of ICSR lifecycle and regulatory requirements

Minimum 4 years of people leadership or mentoring experience preferred (formal or informal). Experience with operational processes, metrics, or project work is an advantage.

Hands‑on experience with global safety databases, MedDRA, narrative writing, and coding.

Experience in inspections/audits and readiness activities is a strong advantage

Fluent in English.
