The Associate Director of Market Access Strategy is a critical role on a fast-paced, energetic Market Access team. This team member will be responsible for leading and assisting in development/implementation of market access strategies across key segments of our business including: the Payer account team, Field Reimbursement Managers (FRM) and Ophthalmology Account Directors (OAD). Primary responsibilities consist of leading and/or assisting in the development of market access initiatives and tactics and ensuring effective implementation and execution across field teams. Additionally, this individual must maintain a high-level of collaboration and integration with all field teams (FRM, OAD and Payer ) Contract Strategy, Brand Marketing, Training, Pricing, Trade, Market Research and others.

Location: In the Sleepy Hollow, NY Office 4 days a week

Discover your role:

Leads and ensures strategic effectiveness across all core market access segments and supports the development of certain HCP reimbursement strategies and tactical execution

Works directly with all MA field teams to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives launched by the MA Strategy team and makes strategic recommendations stemming from customer insights

Serves as a key MA strategy point of contact for access field teams (Payer, OAD, FRM) with regard to account engagement planning, live customer engagements, account specific content creation, and matrix collaboration across various functional areas

Manages core business review assets and account collaboration initiatives for market access field teams including the OAD custom account content, FRM Payer Business Reviews and other select initiatives

Leads market access strategy engagement activities at major congresses and in key customer meetings with HCPs, Practice Administrators, Payers, and GPO/SDs

Develops promotional materials for HCP congresses including booth materials, digital ads/banners, displays, floor signage, etc.

Leads the HCP Market Access Advisory Committee including development of the annual advisory board meeting plan across HCP and practice administrator steering committees

Ensures effective execution of pull through strategies and initiatives (pull through playbook, regional planning, Payer coverage report, etc.) and strategy implementation guides for all access field teams

Manages key relationships with professional Retina/Ophthalmology societies including monthly joint meetings

Participates in all MA Core teams

Supports POA strategy development across all MA teams (content development as needed)

Sets and measures critical metrics for tactical initiatives and collaborates with the I&A team as needed

Regularly engages and maintains relationship with KOLs, HCP advisors, Retina CEOs/CFOs, Administrators and other key partners

This role requires:

Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 7 years progressive experience in biologics marketing and brand strategy development and execution in the life sciences

10+ years of "progressive" industry/relevant professional experience

Biotechnology or small specialty pharmaceutical marketing experience preferred

Pharmaceutical Sales experience preferred

Ophthalmology (Retina) experience preferred

Demonstrated background of strong planning and tactical development skills

Excellent project management skills, proven abilities to manage multiple collaborators, meet tight timelines and produce consistent, outstanding work products

Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks ensuring timing delivery while maintaining a high level of quality and on budget

Strong Teamwork, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership skills, including the ability to build team member trust, gain alignment and navigate ambiguity

Excellent understanding of the US market access landscape and the legal/regulatory environment for pharmaceuticals/biopharmaceuticals

Experience in the buy and bill space
