Our Team, Your Impact

The Associate Director, Automation & Business Transformation is a strategic leadership role within the Revenue Optimization & Contract Compliance (ROCC), a part of Teva’s North America Finance organization. Reporting to the Director, this individual is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and driving opportunities to transform Medicaid and Commercial Contract Operations through process optimization, artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced analytics.

ROCC is responsible for managing a broad portfolio of revenue-related functions, including contract operations (rebates, chargebacks, membership, administrative fees, and related activities), government pricing, dispute resolution, and reverse distribution. As a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, the Associate Director will translate complex operational challenges into scalable, controlled, and sustainable solutions, leading initiatives from opportunity assessment and business case development through implementation, adoption, and value realization.

The initial focus of this role will be Medicaid operations, with particular emphasis on claims validation, rebate adjudication, dispute resolution, and end-to-end process automation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing Teva’s Medicaid transformation strategy by improving operational efficiency, strengthening compliance, reducing risk, and enabling long-term scalability through technology-driven solutions.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

Strategy & Opportunity Identification

Serve as the Center of Excellence subject matter expert for business process optimization, artificial intelligence, automation, and analytics across Medicaid and Commercial Contract Operations.

Assess end-to-end business processes, data flows, controls, manual activities, pain points, and revenue risks to identify and prioritize high-value transformation opportunities.

Evaluate internal and external agentic AI and automation tools for business fit, technical feasibility, integration, security, compliance, and scalability.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT, external vendors, and subject matter experts to define use cases, evaluate potential solutions, and establish clear business outcomes.

Solution Design & Delivery

Serve as the primary liaison between business and IT, translating operational needs, controls, and desired outcomes into clear functional and technical requirements.

Lead cross-functional initiatives from current-state assessment and future-state design through development, testing, implementation, change management, adoption, and benefits realization.

Develop or oversee process maps, business requirements, control documentation, standard operating procedures, work instructions, training materials, and implementation plans.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure solutions align with Medicaid and Commercial Contract Operations requirements, contractual obligations, regulatory expectations, and enterprise standards.

Apply root-cause analysis and continuous improvement methods to resolve recurring issues, strengthen controls, and improve operational effectiveness.

Establish and maintain appropriate automation governance, including ownership, documentation, testing, change control, monitoring, and ongoing solution oversight.

Portfolio & Performance Management

Manage the automation portfolio, including intake, prioritization, ownership, milestones, dependencies, risks, benefits, and adoption measures.

Build organizational traction through stakeholder engagement, visible progress, reusable solutions, standardized practices, success stories, and knowledge sharing across functions.

Monitor automation performance, control effectiveness, exceptions, adoption, operational improvements, and realized value.

Provide leadership with concise status updates, performance measures, risk assessments, and recommendations.

Your Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information systems, analytics, operations, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Typically , 7 or more years of progressive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including leadership of complex cross-functional initiatives.

Strong knowledge of Medicaid rebate operations (3+ years) and commercial contracting, rebates, chargebacks, or related revenue management processes (3+ years).

Demonstrated success leading enterprise automation, process optimization, or operational transformation programs from strategy through implementation and adoption.

Experience with process assessment, requirements development, control design, testing, change management, governance, and performance measurement.

Working knowledge of AI, agentic solutions, robotic process automation, predictive analytics, and workflow automation technologies; experience with Model N, Power BI, Power Platform, Copilot, Claude, or similar enterprise tools preferred.

Strong strategic thinking, analytical, executive communication, project leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to translate complex business, technical, financial, contractual, and regulatory requirements into practical, controlled, and scalable solutions.

Measures of Success

Measurable reductions in manual effort, processing time, errors, and operational risk.

Improved control effectiveness, compliance, audit readiness, and process transparency.

Documented savings, revenue recovery, or revenue leakage prevention.

Timely delivery, sustained adoption, and realized value from automation initiatives.

Greater process standardization, scalability, and reuse across functions.

Salary Range

The annual starting salary for this position is between $132,800 – $166,000 annually.  Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
