Associate Accounting Business Partner
About this opportunity
Your Role:
Review & approve accounting entries, journals, reversals, adjustments, corrections, reclassifications, write-offs/back that are accounted monthly.
Oversee accrual processes – employee-related costs, open purchase order commitments, non-PO purchases, etc.
Conduct/orchestrate trial balance reviews during ME closes; deep-dive into significant ledger movements.
Ensure completion and accuracy of the books of accounts.
Custodian of books of accounts – own the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Notes & Commentaries for the legal entity.
Address queries from CFO (country/region) and business stakeholders (non-finance).
Analyze YoY and QoQ variances; write commentary on drivers during quarter-close periods.
Review & approve GL account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts monthly (prepared by Sub-ledger/GL/AR/AP teams).
Handle & complete statutory audits, tax audits, transfer pricing audits within timelines; coordinate with auditors and related teams (GL, AR, AP, controlling, Actuaries, Group accounting, Group controlling) to provide inputs for audit queries.
Participate in ERP deployments – URS, UAT, post go-live issues through finance hyper-care; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Contribute to projects such as IFRS/US GAAP implementations, changes in accounting policies and their financial impact, review & approve annual restatements of financial statements, and finance transformation initiatives.
Share industry best practices on accounting and finance topics.
Who You Are:
Qualified CPA with at least 8 years of experience in accounting and finance, including end-to-end finalization of books.
Experience in an ERP-based accounting & finance environment.
Track record in a multi-national company with matrix organization; experience with US/EU/ME/APAC stakeholders; fluent in English with ability to understand various accents.
Ability to work under strict deadlines and deliver high-quality output.
Ability to influence without authority.
Ability to handle ambiguity confidently.
Self-starter, quick learner, independent worker.
Adaptable to change with a transformation mindset.
