This role applies advanced Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering expertise to drive the successful planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects that improve operational performance, manufacturing efficiency, and business outcomes. The position is responsible for reviewing and implementing comprehensive project plans, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while leveraging established project management methodologies and engineering best practices.
The individual analyzes, edits, and translates complex manufacturing and operational data into clear, actionable insights for leaders and stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and effective project governance. They utilize engineering tools, problem-solving techniques, and continuous improvement principles to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and optimize manufacturing processes across the supply chain.
The role regularly communicates project status, milestones, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders at multiple organizational levels. Additionally, the position serves as a mentor and coach to junior team members, fostering technical development and strengthening project execution capabilities. Success requires strong cross-functional collaboration, analytical expertise, leadership influence, and a commitment to Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives in all interactions and decision-making.
Key Role Responsibilities
Leads and executes projects and/or programs of moderate to high level of complexity ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, company standards, operation requirements and business needs.
Drive the optimization of process output and throughput, equipment utilization, equipment downtime, waste reduction/yield improvements, budget management, standard cost, and capital investment management in a creative manner.
Provides technical support to peers and production areas in evaluating process deficiencies, process changes, modifications, and equipment failure. Defines, analyzes, reviews, and evaluates problems for prompt solutions.
Supports manufacturing in the day-to-day troubleshooting of equipment’s to ensure increase production outputs and increase operation team capabilities.
Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Company Policies and Federal, State and Local Government Regulations.
Revise and maintain engineering, equipment’s, and process procedure.
Support the GMP audits as subject matter guide for product and processes.
Coordinates communications and interfaces within end users and machine manufacturers or suppliers.
Lead or participates in projects involving other departments and activities.
Evaluates process trends (Ex. Yield, OEE) to drive improvements of business results.
Daily monitoring and support to manufacturing lines
Provide training on process and validation requirements to operators and engineers
Stay in sync with all environmental, safety and occupational health policies
Qualifications
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 4 years of experience is required in a maintenance manufacturing environment, R&D or Process Development
Proven experience with validation cycle (FAT, IQ, OQ and PQ)
Must be fully bilingual: Spanish & English
Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Skills
Preferred experience with data analysis tools: Minitab
Experience working at medical device industry or pharmaceutical preferred Experience in Project Management preferred

This position will require up to 10% travel
