Within our Insights & Analytics organization we are transforming to better power decision-making across our end-to-end commercialization process, from business development to late lifecycle management.

Deliverables support planning and decision making across multiple functional areas such as finance, manufacturing, product development and commercial. In addition to ensuring high-quality deliverables, our team drives synergies across the franchise, fosters innovation and best practices, and creates solutions to bring speed, scale and shareability to our planning processes.

We are looking for a senior analyst to support our US Advanced Analytics team. Robust analytics is a priority for our businesses, as the product potential has major implications to a wide range of disciplines. It is essential to have someone who understands and aspires to implement innovative analytics techniques to drive our insights generation across GBUs.

 Key Responsibilities

Lead marketing and sales-related problem-solving activities, leveraging AI/ML techniques

Develop models (demand and patient, MMM, etc.) using key business insights to support commercial excellence

Evaluate the effectiveness of various promotion and marketing programs in the US leveraging Marketing Mix Models (Bayesian Models) / Promotion response model / ROI analysis; Impact of channel dynamics: Field Force/Multi-channel modeling

Optimize promotion resource allocation; scenario-based simulation

Perform customer segmentation, market performance analysis/trend break detection, HCP/DTC media channel effectiveness, patient prediction and drivers analsyes

Responsible for consistent metrics as inputs and outputs of models

Prepare high-quality, accurate analysis using cutting-edge analytical methods

Processes

Frame the key marketing questions to guide analysis and work plan

Communicate model results and implications to business partners

Ability to work cross-functionally, gather requirements, analyze data, and generate insights and reports that can be used by the business

Contribute to overall quality enhancement by ensuring high standards for the outputs produced by the team

Secure adherence to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with all applicable standards

Use latest tools/technologies/methodologies and partner with internal teams to continuously improve data quality and availability by building business processes that support global standardization

 

Stakeholder Management

Work collaboratively with the stakeholder teams to prioritize work and ensure timely delivery of requests

Partner with marketing, media, and commercial stakeholders to answer key business questions and support strategic decision making

Technical skills

·       Expert in end-to-end delivery of Marketing Mix Modelling projects

·       Proficiency in statistical concepts like hypothesis testing, regression analysis, time series analysis, and probability theory

·       Understanding of mathematical concepts like linear algebra, calculus, and optimization

·       Expertise in machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning).

·       Experience with data mining techniques like clustering, classification, and association rule mining.

·       Knowledge of feature engineering, model selection, and hyperparameter tuning.

·       Fluency in programming languages like Python (with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch)

·       Ability to write efficient and clean code for data manipulation, analysis, and model development.

·       Strong analytical skills to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data.

·       Ability to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable steps.

·       A curious and inquisitive mindset to explore data and discover new insights.

·       Strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and leading multiple projects simultaneously

·       Working experience of Python and SQL

·       Excellent planning, design, project management and documentation skills

·       Excellent management of customer expectations, listening, and multi-tasking skills.

·       Experience with US pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo, Veeva, Salesforce)

·       An aptitude for problem solving and strategic thinking

·       Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable insights

·       Proven ability to work effectively across all levels of stakeholders and diverse functions

·       Solid understanding of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, supply chain, sales and marketing functions

Good-to-have skills

·       Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and knowledge of cloud-based data services and tools.

·       Experience with machine learning operations, including model deployment, monitoring, and retraining.

·       Understanding of data pipelines, data warehousing, and data lakes.

·       Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn).

·       Proficiency with Generative AI tools and prompt engineering - Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI platforms to support analytical tasks and data-driven solutions.

Experience 4-6 years of relevant work experience with solid understanding of principles, standards, and best practices of Pharma Commercial Analytics, including Business Analytics

 

Education Bachelors or Masters degree in areas such as Information Science/Operations/Management/Statistics/Decision Sciences/Engineering/Life Sciences/ Business Analytics or related field

 

Soft skills Strong learning agility; Ability to manage ambiguous environments, and to adapt to changing needs of the business; Good interpersonal and communication skills; strong presentation skills is a must; Team player who is curious, dynamic, result oriented; Ability to operate effectively in an international matrix environment, with ability to work across time zones; Demonstrated leadership and management in driving innovation and automation leveraging advanced analytical techniques

 

Languages Excellent English communication skills – written and spoken
