Your Role
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Downstream Processing and Single Use Technologies, you will drive innovation and solve complex bioprocessing challenges for our clients. You will lead hands-on process development, scale-up, and troubleshooting studies, converting raw data into scientific recommendations. Acting as a technical authority, you will support commercial success through direct customer consultations, strategic partnerships, training programs, and thought leadership activities (webinars, conferences) in collaboration with internal R&D and marketing teams
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary SME in Downstream Processing and Single Use Technologies, providing expert guidance on both batch and integrated bioprocesses. Design and execute hands-on process development, scale-up, and implementation activities following self-developed protocols.
Process and analyze raw data
Lead scale-down studies to support troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and process optimization.
Work closely with clients' technical teams, delivering consultative and hands-on guidance.
Engage in and deliver thought leadership activities, including industry conference presentations, seminars, customer trainings, and webinars. Deliver training programs to both internal and external customers.
Collaborate effectively with internal commercial, R&D, and marketing teams to address customer needs, factor in commercial success expectations, and drive continuous improvement of team capabilities.
Who You Are
You have an Italian work permit / live in Italy
Master degree or Ph.D. In Biochemical Engineering or Life Sciences
Experience in customer-facing technical roles or scientific consulting.
Familiarity with scientific modeling tools applied to bioprocess optimization.
5-10 years of experience in delivering technical presentations at industry conferences or seminars.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to biopharmaceutical manufacturing (GMP, ICH guidelines).
Experience in Systems and Automation is considered a plus.
Salary Package
Annual Base Salary (RAL): €50.000 - €75.000
