We are searching for the best talent for Medical Advisor, Immunology.

Position Summary

Be responsible for the overall process for local study, from ideation, execution, and publications and for oversighting an investigator-initiated study (IIS) [Study Responsible Scientist/physician].

Lead developing and implementing the medical strategy and plan of in-market products and pipeline by the assigned therapeutic area(s), including IEGP, IEDP, and TA IVT strategy, via close collaboration with internal/external stakeholders and alignment with the global/regional TA medical strategy as well as TA business strategy. [Medical Strategic leaders].

Define MSL strategy aligned with medical/brand strategy based on generated medical insights and Lead MSLs to ensure full implementation of medical plans by coaching and supporting [MSL Manager].

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES may include but not limited to:

Medical Strategic Leader

Develop and implement Medical and Brand strategies aligned with Regional and Global Medical Affairs strategies.

Lead the local Integrated Evidence Generation Plan (IEGP) and Integrated Evidence Dissemination Plan (IEDP) by identifying evidence gaps, unmet medical needs, and key research questions.

Lead medical activities including Medical Education programs, Advisory Board Meetings, Scientific Exchange activities, and Individual Consulting engagements.

Contribute to cross-functional Integrated Value Team (IVT) activities for assigned disease areas.

Identify emerging scientific trends, evolving treatment paradigms, and unmet patient needs within Dermatology and Rheumatology.

Medical leadership for Cross-functional Collaboration

Serve as the medical leader collaborating with therapeutic area-specific stakeholders across local, regional, and global organizations, including Medical Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, and other relevant functions.

Provide medical and scientific input to support strategy, access, regulatory, lifecycle management, and launch-related discussions for assigned products and pipeline assets.

Collaborate with Regional and Global Medical Affairs teams to provide local insights and ensure alignment of strategic priorities and medical plans.

Partner with Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, and other functions by providing medical expertise and scientific perspectives.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support launch readiness, evidence generation, scientific education initiatives, and patient-centered medical programs.

Provide insights into clinical practice patterns, healthcare system dynamics, and unmet patient needs to inform medical and business decision-making.

Medical leader for External Relationships

Conduct scientifically balanced, non-promotional medical exchange with healthcare professionals, investigators, and scientific experts.

Generate and communicate external medical insights to inform medical strategy, evidence generation, and scientific education planning.

Develop and maintain trusted partnerships with key external stakeholders including academic societies, investigators, and opinion leaders.

Provide medical and scientific input to support product strategy, study planning, and protocol development discussions as appropriate.

Review promotional, medical, educational, and training materials from a scientific and medical perspective, ensuring scientific accuracy, medical appropriateness, balance, and compliance with internal and external requirements.

[Field Medical Strategy and Execution]

Develop and implement medical activities aligned with the local Immunology strategy across Immunology (Dermatology and Rheumatology disease areas), including in-market products and pipeline assets.

Lead the planning and execution of Advisory Board Meetings, Medical Education programs, scientific exchange initiatives, congress engagement activities, and insight-generation projects.

Generate, synthesize, and communicate external medical insights from healthcare professionals and scientific experts to inform medical strategy, education plans, and evidence generation activities.

Identify and communicate emerging scientific developments, evidence gaps, and unmet medical needs within Immunology to support future medical and research priorities.

Support effective scientific engagement and collaboration between field medical teams and key external stakeholders.

[Study Responsible Physician/Scientist]

Lead identification of local evidence gaps and development of study concepts aligned with medical strategy.

Drive local company-sponsored study planning from concept development through publication strategy in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders.

Provide medical leadership during study execution by ensuring scientific integrity and alignment.

Serve as the primary Medical Affairs lead for investigator-initiated studies including scientific review, strategic assessment, and stakeholder coordination.

Provide local medical insights into global development programs, including clinical practice, unmet needs, competitive landscape, investigator expertise, and study feasibility.

Support publication planning and scientific dissemination activities arising from local studies.

Compliance

Ensure safety reporting requirements (timely AE/PQC reporting) are met in accordance with company policies and SOPs.

Ensure quality, medical, Health Care Compliance (HCC), and legal requirements are appropriately managed when developing materials, conducting activities, and engaging vendors and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medicine, or a related discipline is required.

Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, MSc, PhD, or equivalent) is preferred.

Clinical practice experience (1–2 years minimum) and/or pharmaceutical industry experience (5+ years preferred).

Experience in Immunology, Dermatology, Rheumatology, or other immune-mediated inflammatory diseases is highly preferred.

Strong scientific and therapeutic area knowledge with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate and communicate scientific data.

Understanding of clinical research methodology, study design, and evidence generation.

Knowledge of the Korean healthcare environment, regulatory landscape, and market access environment.

Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.

Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Demonstrated commitment to Johnson & Johnson Credo values and healthcare compliance principles.
