The UX Professional is a leader who owns the UX/CX for an entire product or service
In this role, you will lead complex initiatives, resolve ambiguous challenges, and cultivate strong stakeholder relationships within your scope
By seamlessly integrating UI design into development cycles and utilizing human-centered design methodologies, you will actively shape the product user experience, drive robust, evidence-based recommendations, and mentor junior designers to elevate the overall user and customer experience
Description of the area
The Clinical Submission Data and Content Generation & Reuse function focuses on modernizing the creation and management of clinical data and regulatory submission assets (data and content). It develops and deploys platforms for structured content management, enabling the reuse of approved components across documents. This group also pioneers the use of agentic AI to assist in generating, reviewing, and assembling complex submission assets (data and content), aiming to improve quality and reduce authoring timelines.
Job Responsibilities
Scope
Leads the UX/CX for complex initiatives, projects, or products from concept through to successful implementation
This includes managing intricate features, overarching designs, and critical value metrics across all their constituent digital solutions and services, and serving as a key contributor to defining and evolving UX best practices and standards within a specific domain or product line

Complexity
Human-Centered Design: Independently apply advanced research and design methodologies (e.g., usability testing) to drive evidence-based decisions and define UX success metrics.
Strategic Problem Solving: Navigate complex/ambiguous challenges by considering technical and business constraints, exploring multiple solutions, and articulating trade-offs.
Frontend Architecture: Architect, implement, and maintain modular React-based interfaces using functional hooks, the Context API, and advanced state orchestration.
System Integration: Facilitate seamless connections between React frontends and Python FastAPI services via standardized RESTful endpoints, partnering with backend teams on API specs.
Performance & Reliability: Guarantee optimal system efficiency, cross-browser consistency, and adherence to universal accessibility standards.
DevOps & CI/CD: Orchestrate Docker containerization and support the continuous evolution of CI/CD workflows for automated build, validation, and release cycles.
Engineering Excellence: Adhere to standards for maintainable, secure, and scalable codebases while diagnosing/resolving complex deployment or connectivity bottlenecks.
Leadership & Mentorship: Perform detailed peer evaluations and provide professional guidance to emerging engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
Extensive experience leading the UX/CX for complex initiatives, projects, or products from concept through to successful implementation
Proven track record of navigating and effectively resolving highly complex and ambiguous UX challenges with pragmatic solutions
Demonstrated experience proactively managing stakeholder expectations and cultivating robust, trusting relationships throughout the project lifecycle to influence design and business decisions
Experience actively mentoring and developing other designers to foster their professional growth
Technical Skills
Frontend Engineering
Possesses extensive experience spanning 5 to 7 years focused on React.js application development
Demonstrates expert-level proficiency in modern web technologies including ES6+ JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Skillfully utilizes sophisticated UI libraries and frameworks such as Material UI, Ant Design, or Tailwind
Applies advanced knowledge of state management patterns using Redux, Zustand, or the Context API
Maintains deep familiarity with frontend testing ecosystems, specifically utilizing Jest and React Testing Library
System Integration
Proven ability to seamlessly integrate React-based interfaces with Python FastAPI backend services
Commands a robust understanding of RESTful architectural patterns, secure authentication, and authorization protocols
Cloud Operations & DevOps
Independently manages the containerization of frontend applications through the creation of optimized Dockerfiles
Hands-on expertise in configuring CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
Maintains practical working knowledge of AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, CloudFront, and IAM
Configuration Management
Significant experience leveraging Git version control to manage complex codebase evolutions
Proficient in orchestrating branching strategies, facilitating pull requests, and performing rigorous code reviews
Expert-level proficiency in design and prototyping tools
Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies and iterative design processes, seamlessly integrating UX into development cycles
Expertise in skillfully applying appropriate human-centered design or research methodologies, such as advanced usability testing and complex qualitative research
Additional Qualifications
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information and ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders with differing viewpoints
Ability to propose, define, and rigorously question UX success metrics relevant to the domain
