Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Channel Operations Senior Specialist, located in Shanghai

The Channel Operations Senior Specialist is responsible for day‑to‑day channel operational management and process execution across DPS China, with a focus on distributor contracts, authorization governance, operational workflows, and data support.

This role ensures that channel strategy and governance requirements are translated into standardized, compliant, and efficient operating processes, enabling stable distributor operations and scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Distributor Contract & Documentation Management

Draft, review, and manage distributor‑related contracts, agreements, and documentation in line with:

DPS China distributor management requirements

Channel strategy and business needs

Coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Compliance, Sales) to complete internal review and approval processes

Track contract execution to ensure timely and complete distributor signing and renewal

2. Distributor Authorization & Master Data Governance

Develop and maintain distributor authorization management rules based on company requirements and channel model

Execute annual and ad‑hoc distributor authorization activities accurately and on time

Maintain distributor master data, authorization records, and regulatory filings

Ensure consistency, accuracy, and audit‑readiness of channel operational data

3. Channel Process Design & Daily Operations

Fully understand DPS China channel governance and management requirements

Design, execute, and continuously optimize distributor‑related processes, including:

Distributor onboarding, change, and exit

Information updates and filings

Internal approvals and system workflows

Ensure processes are compliant, efficient, and fit for DPS China business realities

4. Channel Operations Optimization & Projects

Participate in channel operations optimization and innovation initiatives led by the Channel team

Own defined operational workstreams or pilots, ensuring effective execution and timely delivery

Identify operational pain points and improvement opportunities to enhance channel efficiency and transparency

5. Training & Stakeholder Support

Provide channel operations training to:

Internal business and support functions

Distributors where applicable

Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for channel process and policy questions

Support consistent understanding and adoption of channel rules and workflows across the organization

6. Data Analysis & Reporting

Prepare and deliver channel operations–related data analysis and reports, including:

Distributor status and authorization tracking

Contract and process execution metrics

Support Channel Manager / Channel Head with reliable operational data and insights

Contribute to improving data quality and reporting efficiency

Qualifications 

Education 

Bachelor’s degree or above

Business, Management, Operations, or related majors preferred

Experience 

4–6 years of relevant experience in:

Channel operations

Distributor management

Commercial operations or sales support

Experience in medical / healthcare industry channel operations strongly preferred

Core Skills & Competencies 

Strong execution discipline and attention to detail

Clear and structured written and verbal communication skills

High sense of responsibility and ownership; fast learner

Able to manage multiple tasks under pressure

Strong cross‑functional collaboration and follow‑through capability

Capable of identifying issues, summarizing insights, and expressing reasoned recommendations within governance principles

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
