About this opportunity
The Solution Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and implementing scalable Master Data Management (MDM) and Master Data Governance (MDG) strategies across the enterprise to ensure seamless data quality, system integration, and data lifecycle management. This role requires a strong technical knowledge of SAP MDG and particularly all associated strategic capabilities including Cloud and AI components. A good understanding of the SAP strategy based on the BTP platform and SAP Joule are very much required.
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise in designing and architecting Master Data Governance solutions that meet the complex business needs of the organization. This role will drive standardization, reusability, ensure compliance, and provide insight for continuous improvement.
Lead the architecture and design of Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions, including defining system landscapes, data models, governance workflows, and integration points with other SAP modules and non-sap systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand master data requirements, objectives, and translate them into scalable and sustainable MDG architecture and designs.
Elaborate decision paper for different design options to agree on the way forward approach.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs, ensure accurate planning and analysis by integrating business knowledge with technical solutions.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in master data management
Work ‘hands-on’ in the system to implement proposed and agreed system enhancements following the established Change Request process for active MDG domains MATERIAL; BP/Supplier; FINANCE; Reference Data mgmt.
Education/Professional Experience
Master degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences and/or Business Administration
7 years of progressive professional experience with data management leveraging SAP MDG

Good understanding of SAP Master Data Strategies and Roadmap / Cloud Ready and AI components along with BTP Integrations and Clean Core principles
Senior SAP MDG expert, 6 years+ ‘hands on’ in SAP Master Data applications including ABAP S/4 HANA
Skills in SAP MDG Data Models, Structures, Enhancing Data Models, Feeder Class, BADIs for doing validation and derivations, Customizing UI's, ALE IDOC's for replicating data to different servers, Creating Database Tables and Maintaining it, Data Elements, Adaptations.
Experience in using BRF+ Rule Based Workflow & Derivation in MDG
Experience in working with Enhancements, Configuration in FPM Feeder Class
Working Experience in S/4HANA Data quality evaluation process
Experience in ODATA concepts to interface MDG to target systems
Development experience in OVS (Object Value Selector)
Good hands-on experience in Data Dictionary Objects (Tables, Structures, Views, Lock objects, Data Elements & Domains).
Experience in established Enhancement Techniques (BADI’s, Exits).
Working Experience in using Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPI’s) and Function Modules.
CDS View Development and understanding – ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
Good Knowledge On ALE/IDOC’s.
Good Knowledge On WORKFLOW.
Development Experience in Web Dynpro ABAP using MVC (Model View Context) Architecture.
Used Assistance Class & OTR for Accessing Text Elements and Messages in Web Dynpro at Runtime.
