Your Role
The Senior SAP ILM, Data Archiving & Document Management Analyst is responsible for defining and delivering enterprise Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), Data Archiving, and Document Management strategies across SAP landscapes. The role partners with Business Process Owners and Functional Teams to establish data retention policies, optimize data growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and preserve business-critical information throughout its lifecycle.
Lead end-to-end SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) and Data Archiving initiatives across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
Partner with Business Process Owners and Functional Teams (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, QM, PM, WM/EWM, HCM, GTS, etc.) to identify business data retention requirements, archive candidates, legal obligations, and business process dependencies.
Define enterprise archiving strategies, retention schedules, legal hold requirements, archive policies, and data destruction processes aligned with GDPR, SOX, GxP, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
Conduct business impact assessments, archive object analysis, testing, validation, user acceptance, and production readiness for archiving initiatives.
Drive governance for archive projects, system decommissioning, audit readiness, and information lifecycle management across the SAP landscape.
Collaborate with Basis, Infrastructure, Database, Security, and Enterprise Architecture teams to implement and support enterprise archiving solutions.
Who you are:
8+ years of SAP experience, including 5+ years in SAP Information Lifecycle Management, Data Archiving, or Enterprise Content Management.
Strong techno-functional expertise with SAP business processes, Information Lifecycle Management, and enterprise data governance.
Hands-on experience with SAP ILM, ArchiveLink, SAP Content Server, and enterprise archiving platforms such as OpenText, PBS, JiVS, Syniti, Informatica, Hyland OnBase, or equivalent.
Experience implementing end-to-end SAP Data Archiving initiatives, including archive object identification, business validation, retention management, and audit compliance.
Good understanding of SAP Basis, databases, and infrastructure concepts supporting enterprise archiving solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
SAP ILM, SAP Basis, or SAP S/4HANA certifications preferred.
ITIL Foundation or ITIL 4 certification preferred.
ABAP debugging or development knowledge is desirable.
