Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a strategic and influential leader to join the Neuroscience Portfolio Strategy & Omnichannel Team as Product Director, Neuroscience Portfolio Strategy, Messaging & Integration.
This newly created role will lead the development and implementation of Neuroscience portfolio strategy, positioning, messaging, and franchise integration capabilities. The role is responsible for defining how the portfolio is strategically positioned, ensuring a cohesive portfolio narrative, and creating greater alignment across brands, customers, and channels.
As a key strategic partner across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Analytics, and Omnichannel teams, this leader will establish portfolio-level strategic direction and messaging architecture, embed strategic guardrails into business planning, and ensure portfolio strategy is translated into integrated customer engagement.
This role is instrumental in advancing a portfolio-led engagement model that strengthens cross-brand coordination, sharpens customer value propositions, and supports future growth opportunities across the Neuroscience franchise.
Primary Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy & Integration
Define and evolve Neuroscience portfolio and disease strategy with alignment and coordination across Neuroscience brands and functions.
Establish portfolio positioning, brand role frameworks, and strategic priorities.
Develop portfolio-level strategic guardrails to guide brand planning and decision making, embedding portfolio-led thinking into annual planning, governance, and strategic decision-making processes.
Partner with Omnichannel teams to translate portfolio strategy and messaging into connected customer experiences.
Define portfolio insight, measurement, and data requirements while identifying opportunities to strengthen franchise capabilities and accelerate future growth.
Portfolio Messaging Development
Lead development of the Neuroscience portfolio narrative and messaging architecture.
Ensure consistent, connected messaging across brands while maintaining brand differentiation.
Translate complex strategies into clear and compelling communications for internal and external stakeholders.
Enterprise Leadership & Influence
Lead through influence in a highly matrixed environment without direct authority over executional teams to align around portfolio priorities.
Drive adoption of portfolio-led thinking across the Neuroscience organization championing continuous evolution of the franchise operating model.
Serve as a thought leader for portfolio strategy, messaging, and franchise integration.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Significant experience in pharmaceutical marketing, commercial strategy, portfolio strategy, medical affairs, market access, analytics, or related functions.
Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and influence decisions in a highly matrixed organization.
Outstanding communication, storytelling, and executive presence.
Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives and driving organizational alignment.
Preferred
Current Product Director or equivalent leadership experience.
Experience supporting one or more Neuroscience brands (e.g., SPRAVATO®, CAPLYTA®, INVEGA®).
Marketing or commercial experience strongly preferred.
Experience developing portfolio strategy, positioning, messaging, or enterprise growth initiatives.
Recognized as a high-performing leader with demonstrated potential for broader enterprise or commercial leadership opportunities.
Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies, such as AI, through exploration, iteration, and applying new tools over time preferred
Experience building team AI literacy and confidence, reinforcing trusted, responsible AI use and sound judgment in applying AI-enabled insight preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$122,000.00 - $212,750.00
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
