Principal Solution Architect – Capital Investment Finance

At Roche, we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with in-person collaboration. For now, we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week. The specific office days may vary depending on business needs, such as workshops, conferences, town halls, team meetings, and other collaborative events.

This role is based in our Capital Investment Finance team, which drives global digital capabilities supporting the complete financial lifecycle of capital investments, fixed assets, and leasing solutions across Roche. Joining us offers a unique opportunity to shape multi-year technology roadmaps and lead high-impact SAP S/4HANA and BTP transformations in a truly global, Agile environment. You will act as the key technology authority bridging complex business strategy with enterprise-grade architecture, and own the long-term solution vision by balancing business value, technical excellence, scalability, operational sustainability, and future innovation.

The Opportunity:

Technology Strategy & Roadmaps: Define technology investment strategies and architecture evolution plans supporting Roche’s multi-year digital transformation roadmap for the global Capital Investment Finance landscape (Asset Accounting, Capex, Leasing/IFRS16).

AI & Innovation Leadership: Lead the adoption of AI-enabled business capabilities including SAP Joule, intelligent automation, predictive insights, and next-generation user experiences.

Architecture Governance: Govern architectural decisions ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture, cybersecurity, compliance, data governance, and global Roche technology standards.

Agile & SAFe Execution: Act as the Solution Architecture lead within SAFe Agile Release Trains (ARTs), building the Architecture Runway and guiding product teams on solution design.

Integration & Cross-Functional Design: Establish seamless integration architecture between Finance and cross-functional domains including Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Enterprise Asset Management.

Who You Are:

10+ years of proven SAP Solution Architecture experience with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP FI-AA, SAP RE-FX (Leasing/IFRS16), IM, and PS (Required).

Cloud Architecture & API Strategy: Hands-on experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Cloud architecture, API strategy, event-driven design, and SAP Integration Suite (Required).

Agile & SAFe Leadership: Demonstrated experience driving architecture within Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments, supporting PI Planning, and defining Architecture Runways (Required).

Data & AI Capabilities: Strong familiarity with AI-driven technologies (SAP Joule, predictive analytics) and ideally experience with SAP Datasphere (Preferred).

Stakeholder & Strategic Influence: Strong systems thinker with an enterprise mindset, capable of acting as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, Business Owners, and Enterprise Architects (Required).

Domain Expertise: Prior experience in Capital Investment Finance, Asset Lifecycle Management, or Global Shared Services within the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry (Preferred).

What You Get:

Base salary range: 19,075.00 - 35,425.00 PLN gross per month (228,900.00 - 425,100.00 PLN gross per year) based on an employment contract (UoP).

Annual target bonus: 20% based on individual and business performance.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Warsaw Grafit is 228’900.00 PLN - 425’100.00 PLN. Final compensation will be determined by a number of factors, including your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 20% subject to both individual and company performance.
