The minimum monthly gross compensation for this role is 20 240 PLN gross with final pay determined based on objective factors such as experience, qualifications, scope of responsibility, and internal alignment.

Senior Software Engineer

Major Tasks
Design, develop, and continuously deploy complex technical solutions (full stack) in a fast-moving, regulated Pharma R&D environment.
Drive architectural decisions for scalable systems and contribute hands-on development while working in cross-functional teams with IT and R&D experts (biology, chemistry, pharmacology).
Define and execute a technical vision for our R&D application landscape with a focus on business value.
Identify technical risks and gaps, show solution approaches, and guide the team towards robust solutions.
Mentor engineers and support technical growth across teams.
Introduce new technologies, improve engineering workflows, and challenge existing patterns.
Use AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Combine technical expertise with scientific understanding (e.g., computational biology or computational chemistry).
Who You Are
Excellent university degree in Computer Science (or equivalent natural science degree, e.g., computational biologist/chemist/…).
5–8+ years of professional experience with expert-level skills in at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Kotlin, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript).
Experience with backend development and/or frontend frameworks such as React.js.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), containerization, and serverless architecture.
Hands-on expertise in data engineering and/or data science.
Deep understanding of Agile, CI/CD, and automated testing.
Comfortable making technical decisions in ambiguous problem spaces.
Proven experience leading engineering initiatives and developing others.
As a plus: experience working with natural scientists and in regulated environments (e.g., GxP)
