About this opportunity

The Position

Join our Animal Health team in Ingelheim and contribute to the discovery and development of novel veterinary medicines through cutting-edge pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, influence research strategies through quantitative insights, and deepen your scientific expertise across diverse therapeutic modalities.

This Position is limited for 2 years.

Note: To make it easier to find our job advertisements, we use the usual designation "postdoc". Of course, this advertisement is not only addressed to applicants directly after completing their doctorate, but to all qualified candidates.

Tasks & responsibilities

One of your key responsibilities will be to contribute to the development and application of pharmacokinetic (PK) and PK/PD modeling approaches that support animal health research and development programs.

Regarding quantitative pharmacology, you will generate, integrate, and interpret PK, biomarker, efficacy, and safety data analyses to improve scientific understanding and enable data-driven decision-making.

Moreover, you will develop, optimize, and maintain reproducible R-based modeling workflows, analytical tools, and model libraries to strengthen quantitative pharmacology capabilities across the function.

Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams to advance model-informed drug development strategies and provide quantitative insights throughout the product development process.

In addition, you will contribute to scientific reports, presentations, publications, and knowledge-sharing activities, ensuring clear communication of modeling results and their impact on project decisions.

You will build expertise in veterinary PK/PD study design, conduct, and data interpretation across species and modalities to support fit-for-purpose testing strategies and successful product development outcomes.

How we calculate "similar"

No black box, no LLM guesswork: a deterministic score built from four normalized attributes. Here's this role's own peer group at different match levels, so you can see the mechanism, not just the result.

Every comparison starts from the same 100-point budget: 25 for working in the same function, 40 for the same therapeutic area, 20 for the same or adjacent seniority, 15 for the same country. A dimension we can't confirm on both sides contributes nothing, never a guess, never a free pass.

Unmatched or unknown dimensions score exactly the same: 0 points, never a partial guess. A role we know almost nothing about beyond its function bottoms out at 25%; it never inflates to 100% just because there's little to compare against. Seniority uses a defined ladder (Associate → Manager → Associate Director → Senior → Principal → Director → Senior Director → Executive/VP) so "Director" and "Senior Director" count as adjacent, but "Director" and "Executive/VP" do not.
